Has Anyone done the Gerson diet?

So my Dad brings this book (The Gerson Diet )by and tells me this diet is curing all kinds of health issues, has anyone done it here? It sounds to good to be true to me...any feed back on the subject is welcome.

I'd never heard about it so I read about it online and I also think that it's too good to be true since it's a supposed cure for cancer and other diseases.

Apparently you are not supposed to drink any water at all and the raw calf liver extract sounds nasty as do the enemas.

That sounds terrible. Water is essential for living and for a healthy diet. If it's too good to be true then it's probably not true b

I just read that wiki article...its illegal to even market it in the US, and while they have the right idea in mind, to cut out all the artificial stuff in our diets, the no water, nuts, berries sounds absolutely ridiculous. Plus...if it "cures cancer," why did 17/18 of the people with cancer still die within 5 years? This sounds like a load of crap, and that it's illegal in the US for a good reason...doesn't look like something I would ever consider, ever.

I don't know much about that particular cleanse, but I do know juice fasting, when done properly, is wonderful for curing ailments and helping the body rest and heal.
