Has anybody got pure cannibinoids from cannabis, such as THC and CBD, and tried smoking them at different dosages / ratios?

Yeah, but it requires column chromatography and a lab usually.
FWIW I have heard reports of people making synthetic THC and analogs and putting it on parsley when the precursor chemicals were more widely availiable.

Closest I've gotten is extracts/tinctures and synthetics. I'm not aware of much more refined ways that you would have ease of access to.

isnt oil pretty pure so what would be the point of going purer for personal use?
however i saw something on the tv about a research program where they gave a test candidate IV CBD, which left them giggly and stoned, then IV THC, where they were too high and started sketching

Why would you smoke them? If you're going to clean it up that much, so you can measure the exact effects at different doses, why would you want to use a dirty ROA that's going to result in pyrolysis and incomplete absorption and whatnot? I can't see researchers administering pure cannabinoids any way but IV.
