Does anyone know how to actually make the "rope" used to make hemp necklaces starting from a female stem? I want to spin the fibers of my plants into some sort of string for necklaces. Does anyone know how to do this?

the traditional way to do this involves a controlled rot process called "retting", after which you have to break the decomposed hurds off of the fiber - this is one of the hardest jobs known to man.
