Harvard on Speed

It's so easy to get whatevery you want from a halfway gullable doc or shrink. I can read up and play any set of symptoms to get whatever I want. If they suggest a milder med I start talking about how I was researching my symptoms or talking to people with similar ones and how they all reccomended X (where X is whatever I really want to take). Works 90% of the time easy. If not, find another guy to go to, not hard at all.

The funny thing is, I don't really do it much. There just isn't much of anything interesting to me in the prescription world. Maybe I just haven't run across anything that good yet.

I'm not surprised everyone in college is doing it these days. I mean, you're expected to take 5-6 classes at a time, all of which decide they're going to assign major projects/papers all the time. I've had a single class assign 8 projects in a 12 week course. Yet they wonder why people want to stay awake 24 hours? Looking back I'm glad I left.

People will always obtain what they want, regardless. If Adderall helps someone study, fine...I take it and dont feel a thing...but I have worked on my dosage to get to that point, there have been times when I have abused it, taken more than I should, but there have also been times when I lower the dosage on purpose...so as to see if it is still effective...ADHD is real...but Adderall isnt a cure all...

Adderall is everywhere on campus, I have not done it yet but one day I decided to go to the library before finals and I am going over some nots and i hear this crunching noise, I look over and see a guy crushing up rails of what I assumed was Adderall (hopefully I dont think chopping lines of coke will do do you any good if you are trying to study). That shocked the hell out of me but at the same time I thought it was pretty amusing.

^^^Mass media frenzy? This is from The Crimson, a student newspaper at Harvard.

This has been a hot topic for the last couple years. The article is literally subtext to the "issue". I guess the articles are posted and act as a springboard for discussion. Go figure.

Hey Morb… right on man. I've been wrestling with how to teach my kids about drugs. I don't have any yet but Mommy and Daddy to those future kids have both used drugs. I don't have a concrete answer but I don't think drugs and children mix and later in life most people don't use drugs without damaging their lives or health in someway. Thats the choice right there. What your values are determine it I guess. And I hope I can teach my kids values that lead to happy lives. Keep on rocking y'all.

Peace,
PL

I like how:

While Adderall obviously isn’t illegal for those who get it from their doctor, it is in fact classified as a Substance II by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

adderall is a "Substance Two"

You mean schedule two?

lol.

So are Opium and psilocin if I'm not mistaken. In that context why ever fuck with Adderall.

yeah, everyone knows that amphetamine/methylphenidate (ab)use is on the rise in highschools and especially colleges/universities.

When I was in HS they were very popular, and when I was at a university almost EVERYONE either used them during exams (or just in general for classes/projects), some people took them on a daily basis, or knew someone that did and they could easily be obtained.

^^^ yeah, that and heroin is schedule 1, not two. I can tell that these students didn't check their sources.

ugh this article was terrible. it was terrible when i read it in the crimson and i can't believe it is on bluelight now!
