Dextroamphetamine and methamphetamine were both found to be twice as toxic as amphetamine. It was estimated that the LD50 of amphetamine in man may be as low as 4 mg/kg orally and one mg/kg intravenously. These estimates are supported by clinical experience with fatal amphetamine poisoning and are thought to be more realistic than the frequently quoted LD50 for man of 20-25 mg/kg.

Things get ugly when you hit triple digit dosing IMO, and past a certain point things get less and less fun, and more and more problematic.

However you'll still do significant damage at doses under 100mg, by no means is it considered safe to be taking huge amounts of speed like this.

How much do you usually take, and how do you dose/redose?

Usually 140-200mg vyvanse oral. 30mg adderall intranasal 60mg oral and if xr parachute. and 50mg Dexedrine parachute redose every hour at about a third of the original dose

Pretty much this. I would say 150mg-1500mg would be enough to be in the red zome meaning you're gunna kill yourself dosing that much. with Cocaine they reckon it'd take upto 2g to OD. The body can handle shit well however you might have a heart problem or you're redosing or mixed with another drug or it was shock/panic added which is why I said from 150mg right upto the ld50.

Even if you went and did 120mg or something you'd be putting ALOT of strain on your body and do perm damage.

Back to the Q. Get your enjoyable dose and if you doubled that then you'd probs start sweating and have NO HIGH just bad effects, triping worse.

A guy on here snorted 150mg which is alot less than normal and the guy selling it was polish and said it was pure and he did not realise it and od'ed, still alive though. Could find you it maybe?
 
i start with 120 of dexedrine, then sometimes i've had another 100 an hour or two later once its kicked in
i've killed 400-450 in a night before.

you aint gon OD on speed, i shot a half gram of methamphetamine in less than 24 hours (and mind you i dont tweak much due to lack of access...) and i was completely fine, not freakin out or anything.
it sucked ass once it wore off though of course, especially cause i didn't have money for bags to bring me down
 
^While you may have made it out unscathed, not everyone will be okay taking 120mg dextoamphetamine, or 500mg methamphetamine. It's totally fine to post your subjective experiences but saying "you ain't gon OD on speed" gives readers a false sense of security, because it's not true for everyone. Just a friendly reminder this is a harm reduction forum, and this thread is clearly labeled as such.

but can you agree that most people (unless they have a fucked up heart) aren't going to take enough amphetamine/methamphetamine to cause death unless they intentionally try to?
 
Try not to take over 40mg ever at a time. If 40 doesn't do it for you, then you probably need to take a tolerance break.

If it's your first time taking adderall or if you have no or little tolerance, then 10-20mg should be fine.
 
I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything, for the record.

And while I used to be inclined to agree with that statement, from what I've seen here on Bluelight, people actually do take too much amphetamines pretty regularly, luckily not usually ending in death, but a plethora of negative symptoms and cardiovascular strain that could easily have been avoided had they researched a safer dose prior to dosing, like Speedaddict69 is doing here.

i think thats being a little conservative (for reals)
when i first was using amphetamines, 40mg of dexedrine was what i'd do, i'd pop it and not redose or anything, but you get a tolerance quick and 40 turns to 60 60 turns to 80 80 to 100...
my tolerance hasn't seemed to go away even though i dont do stimulants really anymore.
i'm fine and i abused lots of amphetamine for 2-3 years though.
 
That's the tricky part about answering a question like this though, everybody is so different in their body type, and how they react to different substances. You can't really put a number on it.

Even LD50 applies to just the average, there is a good chance any given person is under or over the LD50 so I'm not sure it's really a safe guideline to go by.

Best advice I can offer is to start small, then slowly add more as you feel you must. That way you don't find yourself in a situation where you are unexpectedly in dangerous territory.

this, which is why i disagree with a lot of the advice in this thread (and i'm very experienced with amphetamines, i had what some people on BL called an addiction to them for a while..)
IME, 40mg of dexedrine was the MINIMUM when i FIRST STARTED to get proper high, and 40mg is barely anything IMO, i wouldn't be so quick as to say "IF 40 DOESNT GET YOU OFF YOU NEED A BREAK"
i've been off the speed for a while, i had a few months off the speed (other than getting a .5 sack of methamphetamine twice), then the last time i used it i blew through more speed in less time than i ever have even though i was high as shit, just because i knew i could go higher.
once you do it enough you just know whats a good amount for you, as for health effects, if you dont want to risk damage to your body, dont use amphetamines/stimulants.

well i was addicted to dexedrine and adderall as well as other stimulants (eventually meth) for over 5 years, and i started at 10mg of adderall and i was tweaked off my ass. Admittedly, at the time I was only 13 years old, and I wasn't a very big guy, but even now, i see people with no amp tolerance take 20mg and they're high as a kite. Tolerance is something you want to avoid with amphetamines, which is why I said to never exceed 40mg, because after that dose, it seems that side effects get very intense, and neurotoxicity is right around the corner if you start to up your dose after 40mg. I've never exceeded 90mg, and thank god, because after that I'm just hurting my brain and body for no reason.

Remember this is an HR forum, that's HARM REDUCTION, not a "how to get as fucked up as possible".

Short answer: roughly 0.5mg/kg body weight Adderall like preparation is where primate studies show the beginnings of neurotoxicity (works out to roughly 35mg for a 145lb/70kg person).
Long answer: It really depends on how you want to define it, downregulation of various proteins? blatant cell death? temporary reductions in memory/cognition? Then you have to consider diet, sleep, environment, and various other biological factors.

The biggest things are simply making sure to avoid excessive redosing, eat, and sleep.
