Happy Birthday, Sweet P!!!!!

You are definitely deserving of a nice day (not just today but every day!) I'm really glad to have met you (even though you're all old and stuff now)

Please have a day without worry!

Awww thanks everyone! <3

I didn't even see this thread until OverDone pointed it out to me on MSN lol.

My probation ended two days after my birthday, which was probably the best present I got. :D

to Sweet P
Can't send you a PM bcs I am a greenlighter so have just popped this on here in the hope that you get it. send me a hotmail address or something if you want. It's been six months now and i am starting to get my health back at last. I'm convinced that P ages you much more quickly than you normally would. You don't notice in young ppl but in middleaged ppl like myself (i'm 50, though I find it hard to believe!) you get all the symptoms of aging. Must be all that adrenaline...:) Even the deep wrinkles that were developing around my mouth have disapeared and my skin tone has come back. Sometimes I miss those quick bursts of energy but when I think about it, those pretty much stopped after the first few years. In the last couple of years it was more about needing a puff just to get my arse out of bed!! I had quite high-stress job with long hours and had to give up work before I could come off P. Now, after six months, I am finally feeling normal again (whatever that may be :) ) and plan to start looking for freelance/part time work again soon. P is harder to come off than most ppl think, that's for sure. I wish that while I was withdrawing I'd had a bit more of the knowledge i have now. For instance, it's amazing how much a few Valiums can help those twitchy leg muscles. And you just have to give up trying to concentrate on things and watch the same movies over and over if that's what you need to do. Those yuk symptoms are all over now, thank god. But it's an amazing feeling to be free - especially to be free of some of the crappy ppl you end up dealing with!! If you're ever planning to give giving up another go and there's anything I can help you with, even if it's just moral support, then feel free to let me know.
all the best
