Today August 6th is Elliot Smith's birthday. Either/Or is getting a reissue on 180gram vinyl from the Kill Rock Stars label and they have some sort of deal on a bunch of his records. Well I might order it but I also might spend the money on a bag of junk if I can find it today. It isn't like he is gonna get the money anyways. My favorite songs at this time are a Fond Farewell and Don't Go Down, both off of the posthumous From a Basement on the Hill. I also think Waltz #2 off of X/O is one of his most hauntingly beautiful compositions. I haven't even properly listened to his entire discography yet. I can only really take it one or two discs at a time. I think his music is getting more popular which proves he was ahead of his time. I heard Baby Britain on the radio the other day. It was quite something to hear Elliot's vioice over FM. Well goodbye everyone, enjoy your august 6th if you can.
