Hallucinating on Meth?

I was maybe going to try some meth this weekend, and was wondering if the hallucinations while on meth are severe, mild, or pretty much non-existant. I was doing a bit of research on Erowid, and under Neutral effects it listed Auditory and Visual hallucinations. If they are apparent, are they anything like what one would experience on Shrooms or Acid? I don't plan on doing a lot, as it is my first time, but just enough to get fucked up.

You usually dont really get hallucinations until after you have been up for a few days, or have taken some downers. You should be fine, it usually doesnt get too bad if you just sniff it, but if you start smoking it then that can make you hallucinate. Once you hit the 40 hour point, you'll probably start seein stuff.

Sleep deprevation from speed (coke, meth or whatever) causes the most realistic auditory and visual hallucinations that one can ever experience. They're much more intense than the ones you will get from so called hallucinogens like LSD and such. Also, they are almost impossible to recognize as hallucinations and often lead to horrible episodes of psychosis.

Ye, I must agree with J A and F P, although I dont know about the sniff and smoke part - I've done it every way - smoke, snort, and blast, and if its good shit, and you have enough these things will happen.
IMO its the lack of sleep and your dream part of the sleep cycle that gives the hallucinations, rather than the actual drug itself. After about the second day of no sleep they can be quite powerful.I think fatigue, also is a major factor ie if your very active , like doing a lot of walking, dancing etc these things will happen a lot earlier and be more powerful.
On my binges my hearing and vision goes quite wacky, I have real trouble making out the real from the unreal, - but this is after weekly binging and doing it over many months.
That reminds me its nearly that time.

You can halucinate from binging on the drug itself, even if you haven't been up. Its from the toxicity of dopamine/ependeferin/etc. in your brain. The halucinations you'll see are things like minor distortions, you wont really "trip" like on a halucinogen. Rather see wavy vapourish smoke, see shadows in the dark that look like people, see "rain" on clear days....Stuff like that, nothing too major.

yeah, i'm into mid day of day 2 on meth without sleep, went to get cigs, and saw 4 jawa's walking down the side of the road and one of them muttered something to me. funny cus that seems to be a reacurring hallucination while i'm under amphetamine psychosis. i hate it. i hate it a lot.

Agreed.
I've done a fair deal of pscychedelics and my share of meth, but never hallicunated from them...the only drug that has made me hallucinate was prednisone, when I acidentally took too much for an allergic reaction.

i've never hallucinated from doing meth. i haven't fully experienced methamphetamine psychosis either. i've gone on meth binges lasting 2 wks (not too too long) and only experienced mild paranoia. but i guess its different for everybody. from what i've been told though, hallucinations and stuff come from repitive use and lack of sleep and all--like if you are doing it for DAYS straight...you might get 'em eventually. but not from doin a couple of lines.

i completely agree with those that said that hallucinations and the psychosis that come with chronic meth usage are not exactly from the methamphetamine itself, rather the lack of sleep that you experience on binges that last few to several days. personally--on the third day, i *BegiN* to lose my mind, and on the one occasion that my binge lasted four days, i did hallucinate. the hallucinations are again, like others said, minor---smoke appearing and seeing things in the shadows. and J A said something about hallucinating when you smoke it, i've never experienced this. i have smoked meth on a many occassion, but it has never resulted in hallucinations...i'm assuming you'd have to smoke a LOT for this to happen, because my shit is deffinately good.

EDIT: also, since its your first time, a twenty bag of even just decent shit should keep you up for two days.

ive been goin since sat night and im starting to see stuff, thats one of my favorite parts of tweeking. when i have my eye's closed its like im dreaming and all i see is people like walking around sitting talking (but i cant hear anything) like im at a party or something. its really weird cause some times ill get stuck for a few mins and have my eye's closed and think its real then open my eye's a few mins later and realize it was a day dream or something. fun stuff i got a question though
i been snortning it almost the whole time but today i got bored so i made one of phreex super light bulb pipes : ) and i smoked a little but im down to a little less than a quator gram now so i want to conserv it. so my question is will i be awake longer from snorting it or smoking it considering i smoke as much as i would normaly smoke.

I'd say deffinately snort it if youre going to chose between smoking and snorting. If you smoke it, the high wont last nearly as long and its really a waste--its short, and tho more euphoric, doesnt last--its not a method for conserving.

Thanks guys for enlightening me. I was on meth and haven't got sleep, and I started getting sleep deprivation visuals. I thought it was a flashback until my friend told me it's called "sleep dep visuals". I laughed and laughed my ass off then, I just couldn't believe it for some reason.
It was very weird. I felt very disassociated, like on DXM, all the while seeing things, like my face turning to something else in the mirror, holes appearing in walls...Freaked me out a bit, but I guess I managed fine

I need more information. Could someone please tell me if these visuals are bad for your body, and also some links?

Honey, common sense tells you: if your body is experiencing hallucinations that are NOT due to the intake of a PSYCHEDELIC, this is certainly not healthy!
EDIT: why dont you try EROWID first, heh.

You people make it sound like these things set in after the second line.. to clairify, you don't get to the point of having those REAL hallucinations until you have been up for awhile, and they occur because of the effects of not getting enough sleep as well as methamphetmaine psychosis - it's all really acute though, and passes once you sotp using and get some sleep ...
So go out this weekend and rail up a gagger, blaze a torch to that light-bulb, stay awake doing crossword puzzles until Sunday evening, then pass out - your weekend should be free of any visual/auditory hallucinations.. that is of course, unless the DEA has implanted a tracking device in your brain (from their website: http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/drugs/methamphetamine/implant.htm#effects
"Some of those currently apart of the Methamphetmaine Control and Monitoring Program (MCMP) report having visual hallucinations after having the monitoring device implanted in the frontal lobe, these effects seem to diminish with time. Other side effects include dry mouth, weight gain, and paranoia in a small number of participants. One of the largest problems is the difficulty to discern side effects of the implant from the normal side effects of methamphetamine and the lifestyle that accompanies the drug."
