i was reading here for a couple of month and now decided my english was good enough to make my first post.
and i love how you use the verb "to fuck" all the time. this is much more polite than the german equivalent "scheiße."

greetings from southwest germany.

Hi.
Few years ago I went through a heavy opiate addiction, switched to methamphetamine and drowned in booze after quitting meth. A long term rehab saved me and made me change my life. I started an education as a care assistant for handicapped people and now I work in a school for developmentally challenged children.

Im still smoking Cannabis daily and sometimes I use Kratom recreationally.
And you?

I used a variety of drugs until finally realizing heroin was a little too good to be true.... so I was a heroin addict for a bout a year. Then I had a near death experience (you can read more about this here), then over the next few months quit using heroin for good. I have since stayed on Suboxone. I also enjoy cannabis. =D %)

I have tried meth, but certainly have not become addicted to it. Is methamphetamine seriously available in Germany? I was under the impression most of Europe, if not all of it, didn't have easily available access to methamphetamine?

Is it a problem where you are from? I am most interested in hearing about this.

Lastly, are there needle exchanges in Germany? If you don't IV you might not know, I am just highly curious about needle exchanges abroad. I couldn't find any mention of Germany having needle exchanges in the wikipedia article about needle exchange programs.

I am very happy to hear that you do such good work for developmentally challenged children. I personally wasn't disabled as a child but have recently incurred a temporary disability centering around a very painful injury, so I have a lot of respect for people who help those with disabilities, physical or otherwise. :)

I used to live near the border to Czechia in northern bavaria. Meth is very common in czechia, at least among the gypsies. They supply whole eastern gemany (former GDR) and parts of bavaria.
But youre right, in the rest of germany (and western europe) meth is hard to find.

Needle exchange is taking place in any drug counselling service. In bigger cities, syringes are even avilable in vending machines without changing.
You can also buy your tool in any pharmacy.
i used to iv both heroin and meth and all the above mentioned couldnt prevent me from getting hep c.

i used a contaminated spoon...:!

Oh man! :( I am so sorry.

Have you gotten treatment yet? There is still hope, there are new treatments coming out. The treatments that exist now a days can still help you as well.

I have had a treatment for one year with interferone. Three month after ending the virus was back.
the next attempt will last 18 month, i will get my first dose in summer.
I hope this time it will work.
How is the treatment in the US? Do you have to pay it by yourself?

I am not sure, maybe someone else could elaborate.

Even if the treatment doesn't work, it will keep your viral load low if it is effective whatsoever, and then when new treatments come out, you should still be able to receive that as well.

Nonetheless if interferon itself cured it for the next 18 month treatment, I would be so happy for you :) - I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Eh u gotta pay urself if u dont have insurance. But even then there are patient assistant programs. Im on week 14 right now of 24 weeks and my docs been hookin up free samples all but a month worth
