I've been pondering about this for awhile. Does a drug's half-life have bearing on gaining tolerance to the substance? Example: I've read that 7.4 hours is the half-life of tramadol. From what I understand, it takes 5 times the half-life to get tramadol out of your system.
My question is: does taking the substance (tramadol in this case) while it in its half-life (in your system still) or earlier contribute to tolerance? Or does tolerance have nothing to do with that? Say you take it right after its out of your system will you gain tolerance?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
