H and dental work...

Hi guys--

I'm a H user (opiate dependent) and I'm getting dental work done tomorrow-- I'm not getting anesthesia, but I am getting a local. Will H have any impact on that?

like the stuff they rub on your gums or are they injecting you with Novacaine?

Just googling I dont see anything that would be a problem.

if anything the Novacaine will not be as effective and they might have to use more

There should be no risk of an overdose just from a local if thats your concern.

for others that may come to see the answer to this question: the op is not getting anesthesia but some dental office use a partial mu opi agonist as part of the anesthesia so that could precipitate withdrawals in those dependent on full agonists.

After all that my dentist wouldn't take out my wisdom tooth because there's some infection or something wrong with the root and he didn't think he could get me numb with a local, so now he wants to do anesthesia.
Not happy... I have all my wisdom teeth and I'm 25 years old, I was told I was never going to have to take them out, but now because of this infection or whatever I have to get the one out, and now they want to take them all out for some reason.
I'm really nervous to do the anesthesia because I rotate between suboxone/heroin, so I have a shitload of track marks which I'm trying to heal by next week but they won't disappear... I can stay off the heroin until then, which I'm assuming is neccessary because of the way it might interact with the anesthesia? But now you're saying I might go into precipitated withdrawls becauee of the op agonist?
Oh, not to mention I'm in fucking severe pain and all they will give me is vicodin, which doesn't do anything because vicodin can't even get me not sick if I'm off the subs and on the subs its blocked... trails of being a dope fiend!
