Anybody got any pictures of this.

The pic on wikipedia is gross.

I wanted to see cases where people have got it "accidently" as oppose to people that buy premarin.

DHEA is safe right?

I have some "pregnenolone" here. That stuff has absoutely no effects whatsoever though.

DHEA is pretty useless. What are your goals Smyth? Whats your diet (maintenance caloric level, what level are you overfeeding/underfeeding, and macro split)/routine (lifts, sets, reps) like. Age?

Your posts here really confuse me. I seem to remember you posting about whether steroids had recreational value to them. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it was you. You're playing with fire, friend.

If you thought a downregulated dopamine system sucked to deal with, then you've got a LOT coming to you when you thwack your endocrine system on its head a few times and it goes kaput.

Humans are exceedingly feeble and weak. Don't test the limits of your endocrine system.

so according to you DHEA is "pretty useless"

i was considering buying some although i am in no hurry to grow breasts and go bald.

the real reason is that im sorta reluctant to part with my money for something that could have no effect at all.

that's not the point of this thread though. i wanna see pictures of people that used roids and grew breasts.

DHEA isn't going to give you gyno. Gyno comes from two sources: elevated prolactin and elevated estrogen. The elevated estrogen is most common cause. This is brought about by elevated levels of testosterone and no aromatase inhibition (the enzyme that converts test to est). There are two ways to deal with estrogen gyno: 1) stop the conversion with AIs (drugs that block the enzyme from working sort of like MAOIs from monoamines). There are multiple different types of AIs. Some will kill off the enzyme temporarily (suicide inihibitors, aromasin, et al) and others will just bind and thereby inactivate it (letrozole, et al). 2) use SERMs which bind to the estrogen receptor site, thereby blocking the free estrogen from binding to receptors (in breasts) and growing the tissue (you still have to deal with all the estrogen floating around the body though). The prolactin gyno comes from drugs that are progestins (can activate the progesterone receptor). This can cause gyno and also lactation in men if not checked (agonists to dopamine D2 receptor are used to combat elevated prolactin, such as Pramipexole and Cabergoline (dostinex brand name)).

yeah that's a joke. Lactation in men LOL

no sir it most certainly is not. Like I tried to tell you in my first post this thread: these drugs you are contemplating using are EXTREMELY POWERFUL. They can cause long-lasting and even permanent changes to your body that you and others close to you can and will view as a tragedy. My advice is not to mess with hormones.

DHEA has two chances to aromatize to estrogen, and consequently larger doses of DHEA can be rather estrogenic.

DHEA is used in its ethyl ester form as testosterone prohormone, but it is rather dirty. 1-DHEA is another variant, which converts into 1-testosterone (after converting first to 1-androstenedione), a compound which is somewhat more anabolic than normal testosterone.

I think conversions are more favorable with the DHEA topical creams, in that less is converted to estrogen. Still, doses exceeding ~100 or so milligrams (less with the topicals or ethyl esters I suppose) of DHEA should be accompanied with an aromatase inhibitor.

Pregnenolone converts to test at a miserable rate, could easily convert to progesterone (this will make you feel like shit and act like a bitch), and is a whopping 4 steps away from testosterone (preg --> 17a-hydroxypreg-->DHEA-->androstenedione/diol--->testosterone). It's far more of a neuroactive steroid than an anabolic or androgenic steroid.

DHEA is somewhat safe, but it is not especially worth taking, and will shut you down in large enough doses. Epistane is a decent OTC steroid, but this too will fuck you up if you don't know what you are doing...

The pregnenolone I know is just partially digested cholesterol which doesnt pose any risk at all.

In theory it could be converted to any steroid, but that depends on the individual how their body chooses to metabolise it further.

Don't worry, I am not going to buy any steroids for weightlifting, but I came across some of the "antiaging" stuff while I was on the web.

You are totally right though that one should exercise caution.
