Sometimes in our lives,
We all make mistakes and
It seems each mistake we make
Can have a negative impact
On someone else.
What do you do when you realize
A mistake and come to the
Conclusion that by admitting
Your fault you stand to hurt someone
Worse then if you were to simply
Tell a lie?
A friend has always told me
To say that the whitest lies
Are blinding snows and
Sometimes saying nothing is worse
Than telling a lie.
At least when you're someone else.
Sometimes I think that
When a person presses an issue,
No matter how subtle they think
They are being, that they are
Subconsciously trying to pull answers
Out of you, answers they fear
Answers that cause pain,
Because they feed off it and
The chaos of hurt fills a void
In their life, left gaping
And unfilled by themselves.
I've come to the conclusion
That this is what you want.
You want pain, suffering, victimization
And if that fills the hole inside you,
Which I find sick and twisted..
Then so be it.
This is what you want.
So I'll admit it.
I tried, only to decide
That you were nothing more
Than a mistake and so sorry,
But I don't regret, because it serves
As nothing more than a barrier
That blocks my personal progression.
As each day passes,
I learn more and more about you,
And it reinforces more and more
That leaving you behind
Was the best thing for me,
And that I never really cared
Never really cared about you..
At all.
It's easy to convince yourself sometimes
But the strong know when they've been fooled,
And when it's time to let go.
I don't feel sorrow for you at all.
Every conversation..
Every blinking cursor..
Bring a smile to my face,
Because you're not my problem anymore,
And no matter how hard to try..
You never will be.
