Guess that bong price!

Nice bong, however I have some doubts about the idea of lighting up with a soldering iron.

The most toxic smoke is one from an incomplete or low temperature combustion. Soldering irons reach a temperature high enough to initiate combustion but about one third the temperature of a butane lighter (regular lighter, not a torch)

Reason: he could have made this thread to show off how much of a steal his bong purchase was. Even though the game is fun otherwise, it would be more fun when he tells you the real price which is really cheap. That said, $150 would be quite the bargain
 
well he's from austin so my guess is a friend who blows glass locally so yea i guess it coulda been a steal

EDIT : i dunno why i thought kandytime was from austin, he/she's not. lots of glass blowers in austin. but not an insane amount or anyything like that in dallas but there are def places that blow custom glass, nothin like that tho that i know of but.... who knows maybe

I have a friend with a piece pretty similar to this one. It's actually not hard at all to set it down. If you look in the second picture there is a hook type deal near the mouthpiece, you just lay it down and that props it up off the ground so it doesn't spill the water. You can't stand it straight up on it's own, but whatever, you can smoke it while laying in bed.

As for my guess, double perc, pretty thick looking glass. In my town's headshops that'd be about $250-350 probably on the higher end. Since it seems everywhere else in the world shit is hella cheap, I'm gonna guess 175-225.

Is that first one called 'the large intestine'? I'd guess $240 and for the 2nd maybe $150-180?

1st peice, I'd guess $400-$600 retail.. maybe even up to 800-1000.. I think everyone is way underguessing cause they don't realize how technical that part with the tube inside a tube with the flat cuts in it and the 6 or so small tubes inside the bigger tube.. its a very technical peice..


The snd peice, that one is furnace or off-hand glassblowing.. the tube itself I mean and the frog and flower on its side, the slider is pyrex/borosilicate and made on a bench burner/torchmade I would guess anywhere from $75-$175 retail, not more than $40-60wholesale, probobly less even.

You can find tubes like that without the frog/flower and the slide, just the tube plain for $8-$15 wholesale direct from an importer, possibly without a hole for the slide, they ship them like that without a hole and then they get the whole drilled out over here, so they can avoid a "tabbacco tax" or whatever as "art vases"/"artglass".
Lol they also string little chillums along a string and ship them as "door hanging strings of beads" lol.. sneaky indian/chinese basterds undercutting american glass blowers.. using 10-12 yo/s for labor, and cheap chinese clear stock and color rods..


Good can I ramble on and on about glass.. its so awesome..
 
Alright my bong (the second one) I traded my friend a half eighth of good weed for ($30 worth) without the slide/downstem as he had broken it. I think I got a downstem/small slide combo for like $20 at most which the slide broke so I got the bigger slide for probably $25

the first one is around 400 -600my guess... most people don't realize inline bub ash catchers with perc tubes are expensive
