I don't think that it is particularly harmful if only ingested occasionally (at high doses), but when dealing with DXM, there is really no reason that you should have to use it, as you should be able to find products with only DXM as the active ingredients. I have found in the case of Robo AC, goofynesin causes much gas, abdominal discomfort,occasionally nausea and sometimes super hershey squirts that can't be stopped with Imodium. However, when taking comparable doses in pill form, I didn't have this problem. I am curious as to if it is the goofynesin in the AC, or some other "inactive" ingredient. Thankfully, I only stoop to Robo AC when ABSOLUTELY nothing else is available. Odiferous, noisy farts and liquid squirts make it hard to get anything done
