Been 13 years since grand theft auto's #5. I started playing Vice City (technically the 4th GTA, though there is San Andreas after Vice City, and then GTA "5") in the early 2000s. Interestingly, GTA 6 is in a re-made "Vice City" AKA modern Miami.

What i'm most excited for, is how they portray the parody on the USA. The reason i fell in love with the game wasn't necessarily just how it felt like a racing, shooting, and strategy game all in one, but because the progression of the story and the depth of the hundreds of missions were weaved together so well. The cut-scenes, the character dialogue, the story just perfect, in my opinion.

I'm going to get it immediately in November - And if i know what's good for me, i should probably take a week vacation to play around that time, too.

been a gamer for years and years, played lots of GTA in the past on PS, but I've kinda stopped playing games tbh.

however.....very excited for this, but not excited enough to buy a PS5! so I'll have to wait for the PC port later, but looking forward to playing it, I've spent loads of hours on GTA title, each time they release 1 it's a massive jump from the last, can't wait!
 
i like GTA 2 and 3, but TBH never really enjoyed the whole point A to point B gameplay of the missions

yeah that side of the gameplay was a bit crap, it's much more an open world game for me, and the modding scene was pretty big for it which was fun.
 
yeah i'd always do a mission or two then think nuts to this and spend the rest of the time treating it like open world carmageddon
 
Ae they coming out with a actual physical disk wth GTA 6 or no. Ive been playing GTA since vice city as well. VC was such a great fucking game. San Andeas was also great and i would rank the story as better then VC but that goddamn flying mission and the hood shit kind of ruined it for me. Fuck that flying mission and fuck james woods

Me too spypilot I wouldn't bat an eye on it either.

Looking at how GTA 2 was a two demensional.. GTA 3 was open world, VC introduced the ridiculousness of the USA parody and the final mission you're basically in the Scarface mansion, San Andreas the world got bigger and your character more customizable.. honestly 4 and 5 I didn't play much. I beat them both, twice I believe each, but not nearly as much as I played VC and 3.

GTA III was sick... Anyone remember the Banshee? The banshee sports car (looks like a BMW Z series but w longer nose) in VC was a good car, but in GTA 3 the banshee physics are just outstanding compared to the other cars in that game. It turns on a dime at fast speeds - handle is just incredible. And acceleration really good too.

There's some fun Easter eggs like in VC there's a mission early on where you have to smash some dudes car, well you can steal it instead and the things bullet proof.

I couldnt get into 3. Then again i started playing it after VC and SA to. I just couldnt get over not having a map

GTA 4 and 5 wnere good but not nearly as good as VC and SA
 
SA had a really good map and GPS

Its hard to explain why VC was so damn good. Some of the missions are just absurd like sniping a guy at a golf course, selling drugs out of an ice cream truck, using a pornstar to blackmail a politician..

I really need to go back and play VC and i get a TV for my ps3 and ps4. I think it will play on one of those anyway
