Growing Opium

Ok, I have read a few post about growing opium, and people always say it takes quite a bit of plants to get a little bit of opium.
Would someone please specify how many "quite a bit of plants" is. Or at least give me an idea of how many plants I would have to grow to sustain my own habit.
And what seeds are the best.
Also, I know it is legal to grow poppies for ornamental purposes, but is there a limit to how many you're allowed to grow?

aprox 15 poppies to get a decent dose of opium.

To sustain it? A garden. for a dose or three, 10-15 plants. It really depends on how good you are at growing plants and what type of plants you have. If you go buy some poppie seeds from the store, they suck, and you will need more poppies as the pods wont be all that huge or great.
