Grow question.. am I allowed to post this?

hi all... Ive read the guidelines and done a search but cant find much relating to my question. I'm a regular of TDS and SLR, CD is not usually my lurking territory ;)

Apologies if I'm not allowed to post my problem!!

I have a grow (obviously) and its strictly as a hobby!! I got bored last year back when I was a stoner, and planted some seeds.. this is not for distribution/selling, I just have a few plant questions/problems..

Specs:

2 plants
standard soil
3 weeks into flowering
soil PH 6.5
using tap water
using seasol every two weeks, not too much though, and not since flowering started
NOT HYDRO- outdoor only (too paranoid ;) )
about 30" tall each
The plants aren't too stressed, although I moved them inside about a month ago when the rain started in QLD

I thought they were girls, as they have lots of white pistils and some of them have turned brown but yesterday I noticed some BALLS.. little ones, on the nodes and under the actual buds, on both of my babies.. Is this a hermaphrodite plant? I cant post a photo for some reason :(

Again, sorry if i'm out of line by posting such a question/problem.. I just need to know cos its pissing me off and I dont know whats going to happen next or whether my plants are ruined now :(

i dont grow but im very interested in growing... i've been doing alot of research lately... trying to prepare before i plant in may... but it seems they are both males.... im not 100% on this but as far as i know the little balls your referring to is the distinctive feature of male plants...

no but really, yes it sounds like a hermi. i dont know what seasol is though.

but aye generally tap water shouldnt be used as it has other shit in it, and depending on where u live n whats in ur water, the water can affect the hormone levels of the plants.

hopefully it wont be too much of a problem for ya.
hermi plants usually always self pollinate and give you feminised seeds, so its not all bad, and hey, if they do,
you have buds AND seeds.


hopefully this answered ur question and query about image posting.
and dont worry about making sure ppl know its personal, if there was cops on here lurking, i highly doubt theyd mount a swat task force to take down some dude growing a few plants in his yard for fun ;)


after all, theres plenty more people on CD who grow, wether it be personal in huge amounts, or commercial, thats up to them to say. dont expect to see any grow diaries for a warehouse project tho =D

(ps for interpol; no i do not own a warehouse to grow drugs. if i did i wouldnt be so fucking broke)
 
youch, wasnt aware of the tap water thing. Had no idea until just now :(

Yeah ive been told that buds and seeds are ok, i was totally hoping for a seedless grow though. I mean its tastier and less effort to de-seed. Unfortunately, its turning into encouragement to get a few more crankin if they are indeed seeds ;)

the first pic is clear enough, but slightly too close to make out properly.
with digi cameras, it takes a lil bit getting used to finding the focus point of them.

from the looks of things it seems slightly hermi'd.
i wouldnt worry too much about it though man.
at the end of it though, if you get some smoke and seeds, its a win-win situation ;)
 
upon 2nd inspection i cant rly see any balls tho.
the pics rly arent that clear enough to make out.

perhaps its the calyx that u are seeing?
 
THANK YOU! i tried googling a clear picture of the differences between male and females and all it said was little ball shapes near stem... this is going to be alot of help next month..
 
Thanks heaps for the pics..Upon comparison mine is definitely a herm :( there are white pistils and on the balls, there's brown hairs coming out of some of them..
GRRRR but yeah as you said sega buds and seeds are a win win.
Its definitely not calyx. There are definitely balls. I took one of them off, went into the next room and squeezed it with my fingers, clear liquid came out. I just hope they dont go all fucked cos there's HEAPS of the balls. Wasnt expecting it, i'm almost into week 4 of flowering.. ffs lol

I took those pics with my phone, so i knew they wouldnt be too good. They look bad zoomed up like that LOL. Thanks heaps again for those pics mate thats the best comparison Ive seen so far.
