Hello fellow bluelighters. Dropping in to introduct myself, im a 25 yrs old guy from sweden. I´ve been reading for a while and learned some new and good info. I really like this forum, it have a bit more serious info then some swedish forums so its nice. About my drug addiction its sub/bupe for the moment and i have been hooked about 2 yrs but trying to quit, but its damn hard as you all know. I take 1-2 mg per day. I also likes benzo (panic attacks) but i dont eat it so much because of the withdrawlas. Well, dont know what to write.

I know exactly what you're going through - I have been on buprenorphine for a long time now and am happy with my decision. I am in pain but buprenorphine is a wonderful pain med.

I was in excruciating pain for the first three months of this year, and buprenorphine helped more than I could possibly described, while also not really doing a whole lot for pain relief like a full agonist would. It took off enough of the edge to make life bearable though. That's all I really wanted.

So far I haven't even had cravings for heroin in a long time. I am very happy with that part of my life and I plan to never use full agonist opiates again.

Do you have sub from a doc or do you buy them on the street, so to speak?

I get mine from a friend that is in suboxone-treatment. I have thought of searching to get sub from a doctor, but it is a pain in the ass to get it here in sweden, you have to have at least one year of documented heroin/morphine abuse. I have one year of opiodabuse documented, always something. And if i get a approval there is 3-6 months, or longer period, of psychological research, drugtests and alot of other things. A friend of mine have been waiting for a year.

I dont really know how it works in USA.

Btw, i have read alot in the micron filter mega thread and about harm reduction, i never heard about those filters since i saw that thread. I dont shoot up but i have tried it a couple of times, but alot of people over here just put the subs in the barrel, shakes and shoot it. I tell them how stupid they are and that they will get serious problems, but they just laugh and dont care. Sorry for going offtopic

I got it from a doctor. There are plenty of people selling it too. I just don't get it that way.

It's much easier. There are doctors, you call them, schedule an intake appointment, whenever you want to. They make sure you're addicted by checking for signs of opiate withdrawal. I wasn't even drug tested, at all.

That's really horrible; at the least show them how to cotton filter.

Back-loading with Subutex/Suboxone is just horrible; very very bad stuff for the veins. A micron filter is necessary to remove most of the crap but a cotton filter removes some of the biggest particles.

Just wait for one of them to get a missed shot and asks them if it hurts. I don't feel pain from a missed shot if that happens to me (rarely if ever). Also, the inactive ingredients end up somewhere in your body - your body doesn't remove it with the stomach - your body doesn't shit it out - yoru body absorbs it and can't let it go. That's why its' bad for you.

Thanks for at least trying to tell people - even if some of them don't seem to care.

Hehe, that sounds easy, i wish it was so simple here.

Most of my friends that do that has used a cotton filter but stopped for some reason, i dont know why. A common friend to most of them (its a small town so everybody knows everybody) hit an artery last year and got mortification/arteriosclerosis and have to amputate a finger. But none of them seems to take it serious. But i have told them about micron filters and showed them some info about it, but they are expensive as you know. But im gonna order some when i can afford it. I want to shoot sometimes but im kind of hypochondriac so i just dont do it

Hejsan MrOrbin! I'm from Finland and I can speak some Swedish but I'm not good at it.

I have often heard that Sweden has the strictest drug laws in Europe... Especially when compared to places like Portugal where personal use of all drugs is legal. Are there any needle-exchange programs in Sweden? It's not easy to get in methadone/sub maintenance here in Finland either... I'm not really addicted to any illegal drugs myself, but I smoke like a chimney and I drink way too much alcohol...

Hej polymath Yeah, its true. The laws here is terrible. You can get caught just for having THC or any other drug in your system and impose a fine . And you can get fines up to 3000 SEK (470 $), but i dont know it it works like that in Finland or any other country?

There is needle-exchange in the bigger citys like Stockholk and Malmö. If i think about it, its probably the only places you can get it. I dont IV but alot of friends does it, so it sucks for them that they have to reuse needles.

I have heard that it is very easy to get subutex on the street in finland. But i dont know how much truth there is behind it.

Have you seen the documentary Reindeerspotting? Its about drug addicts in Rovaniemi, Finland.

just sighned up today used the info on this site many times very usefull. i was given subutex once told it was like valium. was ok for the first 2hr and then violently sick for about 5hr on and off. Was not normal for about 2 days after. Always no what you are taking and dont if you dont

I know the film Reindeerspotting, but I haven't seen it yet... Did you know that the guy who was the main character in the film died last summer? It was probably suicide...

I don't use opiates and I've never injected anything but I know that heroin has been almost impossible to find in Finland for the last few years and that addicts instead use methadone and Subutex they get on the street.
