Graphic cigarette package warnings blocked

Lol naw no syringes on our packs ... Why do they even have that on your packs ?
Is it cause they're worried about people IVing tobacco lol .

On our packs we have pics of tarred up lungs and clpgged hearts . And children see children do kinda stuff . Them when you open the pack there's a business card inside the pack for a quit smoking hotline .

Also what sucks but is also good at preventing people from smoking is that in Canada (it could just be my province ) they can't actually display the cigarettes on a shelf or anything .

Its not like the US where our gas stations are covered with tobacco ads .

We have to know what we want before even going in the store

This is the image in question. They're equating starting smoking with injecting heroin.

^Lol, I would buy those packs. If these warning labels were instituted here it would be funny to bring back holding packs of cigs in your rolled up sleeves like they did in the '50s, such that the whole world had to view your bloody anti-tobacco advertisements.

Smoking IS highly addictive. It is almost certainly better not to start.
That said, the same is true for alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and various psychological attitudes.

Despite the fact that I dislike tobacco, I believe that people should be given correct information, and a choice.
Same with alcohol, sugar, weed, and heroin.
Freedom to choose our own path is the essential freedom.

Otherwise, we are living under Big Brother all of the time.

I think its the harm it causes others that is more of the problem, obviously banning drugs doesn't help anyone really but if one drug should be very strongly discouraged its probably smoking tobacco.

^This.

Yes, tobacco is bad for you. But has criminalizing any other drug (I don't care about your opinion on the drugs in question here, we're talking about ALL drugs, the dangerous ones and the not so dangerous ones) stopped anybody from doing it?

No, it hasn't. Tobacco is just as dangerous as other hard drugs. The only difference is that tobacco is legal.

I judge tobacco just the way I judge heroin, alcohol, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
