I've been trying GFJ as a potentiator, but I've been wondering what actual advantage there is to GFJ over other citrus juices.
Is it the acidity? It's the most expensive citrus juice and lemonade is about $2.50 bottle cheaper.
I've been tapering back on my dosages and on many days doing kratom. The whole point being to keep the expense of my habit down and quit altogether eventually.
I'm not taking pills every day the way I used to and that's a great step.
It would be good to be saving that $2.50 / bottle, considering I go through a bottle / day.

Thanks in advance

asorbic acid (vit C) is a weak acid compared to the ~3.4 pH of the stomach, so citrus juices actually act as bases when they hit the stomach.

oh yah, tagamet (cimitidine) is a much more potent, reliable, and effective than GFJ. you can get tagamet at any grocery-store/pharmacy in the US

When I was prescribed xanax years ago, I remember the leaflet warnings stating not to take with grapefruit juice specifically.
?

I've read here more than once that tagamet is available OTC, but what I'm seeing is that I need a script.
Could anyone tell me what product I could buy OTC that contains cimitidine.

Thanks

tagamet is legal in the US. i live in Georgia and i can find tagamet or brand-name cimitidine at every Publix/Kroger in my city and i live in a pretty big city.

Tagamet was prescription only when it first came out but you can get cimitidine over the counter now.

Just broke out my reading glasses (Yes I have saved those prescription receipts from 2007)
Both alprazolam and diazepam have the grapefruit juice warning. It's not mentioned on the oxy info sheet.

This is odd. I google it and it says it isn't available OTC then I call the pharmacy and they say it's discontinued.
Next I go to the grocery to see if they have it and they don't but the pharmacy had it on their shelves all the time.
So who can you count on to be competent when you need it?

Anyhow - next question, What is a good time interval for dosing when using cimitidine as a potentiator either with kratom or with oxy?

Thanks for all the help people.
