grapefruit juice

studies have shown that when patience were told a certain drug (lets say heroine) was just "sugar" and that they would only feel a placebo affect if anything at all. at the end of the trial almost 70% of the patients actually felt similar effects as if they took the real drug...ill look for the link on this study.

placebo button is an unexplainable phenomenon..kinda like "LIFE in general"

^ True. Lots of studies like that, on lots of drugs. Most famous are "alcohol expectancy" studies. In one standard design the researchers set up a bar and give subjects either vodka tonics or just tonics, telling both they are drinking alcohol. Lo & behold, the tonic-only drinkers act drunk, too, because they believe the drink will make them so. Best demonstration of placebo effects ever!

(See here for just one example: http://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...c778396e79ed2b445d1ffbab665a098d&searchtype=a
"...only 6% of subjects who were told that they had consumed alcohol but were given tonic water were not deceived.")

EDIT: Ok, that was totally off-topic. My bad!
