grapefruit for MAOI

So it's accepted that grapefruit and some other citrus fruits should/shouldn't be combined with psychs, depending on desired results. My question is thus: would it be a wise idea to try this with synthetics (@ my disposal: DPT, 5-MeO-MiPT, NBOMe's of the C&I variety and DOC), or the more natural ( being only mushrooms in my stash). I realize that if this DOES happen to be effective, the phens are most likely a poor combo choice. Secondly, would the action of the fruit make or improve the oral ingestion of DPT more effective?
Post script, I have DPT, but am not ready to utilize it. Yet...

As far as I understand, the use of grapefruit in conjunction with drugs has nothing to do with it being a MAOI.

Grapefruit does however, inhibit an enzyme in your intestine (a cytokine p450). That enzyme is often involved with the metabolism of drugs, thus inhibiting it does make some drugs last longer/have more of an effect as more of the active drug can reach systemic circulation. All that would only matter if you are using an oral ROA.
So I don't believe that it would have any effect with any of the synthetic drugs you stated as their metabolism is mostly due to MAO. The acidic nature of grapefruit might aid the conversion of psilocybin to psilocin like the lemon tek, but nothing to dramatic. At least that was my experience with combining grapefruit with shrooms (and I tried with LSD with no noticeable difference).

Grapefruit and oxycodone on the other hand...

It should be added that by by inhibiting the metabolization of drugs with grapefruit (and I believe some other citrus fruits) you run the risk of overdosing at lower quantities since they are not broken down quick enough - allowing them to accumulate at higher levels in your blood stream and other places. I know for example that taking grapefruit before taking certain antipsychotics can lead to an overdose even if sub-theraputic doses were taken. i.e. 100mg of quetiapine with grapefruit can be potential fatal, where normally only doses above 800mg would be.
