Im actually not needing one for weed, but for legal herbal formulations. I make tinctures and herbals and do a lot of wildcrafting of medicinal plants. However, I figure this is a good place to ask about gram scales.

Im looking for something affordable that measures at least in 10ths of a gram if not 100ths. Can anyone recommend any affordable quality products? It doesnt need to be ultra compact or anything. I wont be carrying it in my pocket.
 
Any headshop will sell them, pay about $100 and you'll be cruising with a kick ass scale.
There all pretty much the same, just ask your headshop if some of them screw up at all.
 
I dont really want to pay more than $40. I also dont need an expensive pocket sized one. Are there any bargains online?
 
I just figured that this would be the best place for reviews.

I smoke weed medically but I dont have a lot of use for weighing it. Thanks for the advice.

I've not used them but a friend has and said they are ok.. not speedy but free delivery i believe.
 
I bought mine on ebay, it is pocket sized. I calibrated it and noted that it has been +/- .1 for quiet some time. I've owned it long over a year and it hasn't fudged up or gotten any worse, I think it cost me 25$ shipped. It accurately weighs as much weed as I can put on it, which has been about a quarter of fluffy headies usually. Anymore than 7G, and I'll just weigh it out a few times. Just google online if you find a model you are interested in to see what others think about it, or if you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
 
Anything I should look for or avoid? Ive never bought a scale. I definitely want one that you can tier.

I give the disclaimer because I was an activist before I got some health problems and sometimes I think some ridiculous person decided to put me on a watch list.
 
I got one that reads to 1/100th's of a gram at the convenience store down the street from my apartment (it's a sketchy one, with glass pipes, weed grinders and shit like that behind the counter), for like $20-something. There are cheap chinese-import scales (intended market: drug dealers) available in the right kind of stores, for very affordable prices.
 
I would love a bargain like that. Im guessing you dont have a link for me?

I did find some online that meet my specifications that are in my price range, but I always like hearing feedback.

That's the one I use, it's been great. I can't remember if I ended up finding it cheaper on eBay or if I bought it there, though.
 
I got one on Ebay about 7 years ago for $35 that weighs to the tenth of a gram and it's taken a licking and still weighs accurately. I wouldn't kill yourself trying to do research on a scale, they're all going to be fairly reliable and do the same thing. If you Ebay it, just make sure to go through someone with a high feedback rating and you've got nothing to worry about.
