I've been doing quite a bit of traveling recently and to pass the long hours driving I've been listening to several different podcasts. I've taken to a liking of the Joe Rogan Experience due to the wide variety of uncensored subject material.

Rogan has had Graham Hancock on his podcast 3 or 4 times and they've discussed some very interesting material concerning ancient civilizations and their use of psychedelics and also his experiences with ayahuasca. I purchased a couple of his books recently while visiting BN: Supernatural and Fingerprints of the Gods.

I find Graham Hancock to be quite fascinating, but haven't quite fully bought into everything he says yet. Anyone read his books or have more insight on his work? I'm curious...

Ace :) The Podcast is as good a place as any to start opening your eyes to all that stuff they didn't want you to know, but I personally have trouble listening to Duncan, I swear sometimes he is there just to dumb the show down.

Graham Hancock is good, as he is so well spoken, but his background is ancient archeology, you'll find more from him on that topic. If it's history of the drugs you're curious about, these should keep you busy for a while!

Enjoy!

I apparently did not read your question, I preferring to post links to drugs documentaries lol just say ayahuasca and I'm there lol

I think Hancock, Bauval, West, Osmanagić all bring to light challenging points on which that they have risked their reputations and their careers. I don't believe any of them entirely, interpretation plays a key role always but it's hard to deny the holes in traditional Egyptology interpretation.

If Ancient History is what you like, there's a lot of repetitive homemade crap out there but these are 2 good documentaries. I think Hancock is in these but if not his buddy Robert Bauval is for sure.

I think it is a shame that the people who stand up for new ideas get slandered and destroyed, it becomes difficult to decide who is a quack and who is onto something, when you start watching any Debunking videos but Hancock holds his own, I like him.

Can you tell these are subjects I love? lol I've been on a marathon recently, it's just nice to share! Hope someone enjoys :)

Joe Rogan has good intentions, but sometimes he says the stupidest things. And he can be a bit closed-minded about certain drugs, certain sexual practices, and so on. I think the best thing about him is that he's able to give brilliant, lesser-known people huge audiences.

I am a huge Graham Hancock fan, though. I think he also is very good at making sociological observations about the modern world, and I like his rants on the Drug War.

have you heard of duncan trussel yet, rogans bud? he has a great podcast, and is quite entertaining and enlightened if i do say so in my not so humble voice. unlike redleader, i don't think rogans "dumb things" take away from his beauty. the guy is humble and takes his integrity for his friends and family seriously. And, he's brought the great DMT to the masses, unlike anyone else in his ring, so i do admire that a bit. it took some bravery to go there when he did, the guy is no pussy in or out of the ring and i admire that. i too can't shut my mouth off when i should so i dig it on a personal level i guess. i am lucky some of my openness hasn't fucked me or my fam or my career, and i don't have his stature.

besides duncan trussel, also listen to the podcasts with chris ryan (love him, also has his own podcast) and hardcore history with dan carlin, if you haven't already. though you probably have come across them in rogans talks with them.

sorry i don't have much to share about hancock besides i too read fingerprints of the gods and love it. and he was the first author many years ago to bring me to intellectually look into alternative history and not feel like a complete nut about it. i just started reading forbidden archaeology by michael cremo that you may want to look into if you dig hancock.
