I figured I'd better do an introduction before jumping right in here - it's been a while since i've been new on a forum.
Anyway, I doubt many of you will recognise me, if you frequent the Shroomery i'm Haymaker, generally posting in the Ethnobotanical Garden or, during the season, Mushroom Hunting. I'm also a member of (T/F)uckled, as seventeen.
My interests are mainly psychedelic oriented - everything I do seems to lead back psychs. The majority of my time is spent socialising, or using a computer for a variety of things, specifically problem solving programming, operating system design/manipulation and web technologies. I also grow a lot of my own ethnobotanicals, along with carnivorous plants, cacti (not all mescaline containing - for ornamental purposes, of course) and bonsai. I'm hoping to grow some mushrooms soon, I've just finished gathering all the agar in order to grow out some wild spore prints I've collected.
The music I enjoy is pretty varied, from Dubstep to World, Hip-Hop to Classical. I'm really into Shpongle et al at the moment, probably due to all the mental expansion I'm experiencing at the moment. Younger Brother, Flooting Grooves and Slackbaba are another couple of favourites. I find music is extremely mood based, so it's good to have a good selection. Electronic for parties, Reggae for going 'up in smoke'.
I also have a place at a decent UK university studying computer science, although I haven't taken it up yet however. I'm hoping I can get involved in some research projects there with regards to modelling plant/fungus growth, or gene folding. Anything that crosses biology and computing is really fascinating, in my opinion.
I'm working in a 'technological solutions' company for a large part of the rest of this year, and some of the next, saving up some money to go travelling. Peru is a definite next year, I'm going with a friend to do the Inca Machu Picchu trail. Hopefully we'll 'witness' some Ayahuasca ceremonies too. I'd also love to travel to Mexico, parts of central and northern Africa, India, China, Nepal, Malaysia and the Philippines. One day, maybe, when I'm rich enough.
There's probably a lot more I could say, if you've read this far you're more interested than I expected. I'll part with a few pictures I've taken of my interests.
thanks for reading, hopefully you'll find my future posts enjoyable/amusing/informative.
