Good YouTube/etc Channels worth watching

Anyone else suddenly have doomsday prepper videos appearing in their feed?

For some reason I clicked on them, and they seem to range all the way from the severely bonkers, to the pretty weird, to the sensible, practical, and reasonable, at the other extreme.

This was the most sensible and interesting one I found so far

I think it's interesting to think about these things, in a kind of "what if" way, rather than rushing out to follow their instructions. (The odds of these situations happening obviously must be very low) I know or at least hope it'll never happen, but there were a few 'maybe I should get that/ those' suggestions on there. I already have many of the things he mentions, they are just common household items, but the new suggestions, or reminders of ones I'd forgotten, could be worth having.

I wont give any spoilers apart from this one, and it is a big one.

Drinking water will be the number one priority, and coffee filters and water purifier pills (chlorine etc) can make unsafe water drinkable after half an hour! I'll probably get some and take them with me when I go hiking, that way if I get lost or anything and run out of water, I can refill my water bottle from flowing water and drink the water safely. And if the apocalypse does happen, I'll have some pills that I'll probably never use while hiking! You can even use unscented bleach, but you have to get the ratios exactly right, and it sounds all too easy to get it wrong.

I've known a couple of 'preppers', one of whom was wayyy off the deep end!

If it was a nuke situation I'd be travelling fast towards the bomb personally, if time allowed.

I love prepping, not so much for an apocalypse. For natural disaster.

theres loads of those channels suddenly and most are AI unfortunately - but I have enjoyed some regardless

I've watched a couple of AI videos over this last week or so, with one apparently narrated by Elon Musk and showing his face doing the talking with lip synching, and the other by David Atteborough.

The accuracy was terrifying.

The Musk video did state that it was a "facsimilie" at the outset. Cant remember if the Attenborough one did. I don't think it did though IIRC.

The BBC wouldn't technically need Atteborough for his voice overs any more, although despite all their faults I'm sure they wouldn't stoop that low.

I wonder if famous people can have their voices copyrighted or legally protected by some other means, now that AI has come this far.

This is huge leap, that has happened quite suddenly, it seems to me. From sounding like a disjointed buffoon, unable to understand punctuation, or where to put the pauses and emphasis in any sentence, to now suddenly revealing that they've not only mastered that, but can now do totally convincing impressions of other people's voices. Even lip synching their voices with their faces,

Surely video evidence of anyone saying anything can no longer be relied upon, now that AI has got to this stage.

The youtube AI videos were mostly cheap and nasty junk content, with dreadful narration, until just a few weeks ago, but there suddenly seems to have been a giant leap forwards unleashed on youtube.

I'm really not sure what is worse.

The ability to generate voice content extremely accurately in the voices of respected famous people is terrifying.

It's too early yet to be able to say anything about the quality of the actual content (as I've only seen a couple of this type so far.)

Shrouded Hand does all manner of “dark and spooky” content ranging from gnomes to brutal child abuse. He covers all these topics with intelligence, wit, humour and - above all - humanity.

Definitely worth a punt if you have a taste for the dark, the spooky or just straight up folklore.

In spite of everything, we live in a beautiful universe.

Doesn’t work in the UK :!

it's a huge learning that eh
Is it though? Come on Old Man it's a basic step to actually understanding Truth & IMHO many people lack this Wisdom sadly but it's hardly "huge learning"
Huge learning would be to go live in a Indian Cremation Ground for 9 years, wear the rags of the dead people, eat what you can beg, sleep on the floor etc.

(also very liberating)
I agree there 100% but I have to remind myself daily, sometimes I seem to forget it for some reason.

Even better is this one.

My friend Bully Baba Aghori (Google him) was going back to the USA & he had Human remains in his case (A Skull from Varanasi, a Femur bone, a few Teeth) & Customs went MAD when they checked his case, they were expecting to find drugs, they found Human remains LMFAO.
