Two medical cannabis collectives have formed in San Diego within the last month. This is good news since San Diego use to have a dozen or so dispensaries but through loopholes and lack of protection under state law the authorities shut them down, and San Diego has been dispensary free for several years now. Since collectives are non-profit clinics operated by mmj patients they are are covered 100% by state-law and recent CA supreme court decisions. Combine that with Holder's announcement of a new policy easing off of these clinics, I cannot see the anti-mmj authorities down here having any legal power over the establishments. They do not have the Feds for back-up any more either, the dam has broke, more shall be on the way.
