GOOD jeans??

i agree with kaleekat, miss sixty are an amazing brand. theyre italian made jeans cut perfectly to fit any body/style and flatter it; their clothes in general are stunning and very classic; and their shoes, wow!

my favourite brand of jeans right now are my waist high "not your daughters jeans". i LOVE waist high jeans (a classic that should never have left the fashion stakes), and when buying them you purchase a size or two below your standard as they neatly tuck in every lump and bump, leaving you with a modelesque figure; pulling in all your imaginary flaws. theyre a tad pricey, but worth every cent and cater for every size/style in current fashion. i feel ridiculously thin when wearing them; a luxury every woman should experience and enjoy. <3

soo is this thread only for girls? haha....
i need a pair of jeans that fit similar too dickies, and don't hug my nutsack. i love jeans, but being tall and wearing jeans doesn't really work out. I look like i'm walking on stilts when I wear levis, and those 'relaxed fit' ones always taper down by the foot, not appealing. the boot cuts are good, but the crotch rides pretty high on those too.

anyone??

on guys, i totally dig any surfer brands...i like o'neils. slouchy and loose, but not baggy.

on me, i just bought a comfy pair of lucky brand jeans and i'm in love. i've put on some lbs. so i feel more comfortable wearing something slouchy. these are srsly worn 4-5 days a week.

i had a pair of sevens that i totally dug, but my spare tire prevents me from squeezing in them.

A trend that seems to be catching on with most jeans are to be made with 1% of stretch material. This is to allow the individual wearing them to have more flexibility in movement. It makes the jeans more comfortable to wear since denim can be pretty rigid in form. Think about how comfortable your jeans are when you wear them the next day.

Some women enjoy wearing stretch jeans better because they can usually go down a size. The pants fit pretty tight at first, but once they move around and sit down a few times, the pants loosen up and are comfortable for them. Some women prefer them because the jeans with stretch adapt better to their waist line, such as when they are bloated.

I don't know how long this will last or if it will become a permanent fixture in denim fashion. I do know all of Gap jeans are produced with 1% stretch though because the majority of their shopping population wants it available in all styles. Those of you who do not like it added into your denim may want to check out the new styles that your preferred company is going to make; you might want to load up on your favorite pair just in case. :)

I hate stretch jeans, they always end up stretching out so much I can't wear them. And if a jean is made of stretch I usually can't find a size that fits anyway.

I love strong denim that doesn't stretch, sevens and paige are good for this.

My favorite pair of jeans is from The Limited. I've had them for a few years now and they still look almost brand new and fit me perfectly.

I have an extremely hard time finding jeans because of my body type, but when I do I wear them until they're totally done for.

I also have trouble finding jeans that fit well.. my personal favorite brands are True Religion, Paige Premium Denim, and A&F/Reuhl (yes I'm an A&F girl). I have a friend who absolutely loves jeans, he'd recommend True Religion, R&R, Seven, Ksubi, and J Brand.

I would like to find a pair of jeans that sit nicely on my hips and ass AND I don't have to wear a belt.
I have bigger hips than waist and I end up getting that gap of material at the back.
I think paying $200 for jeans is reasonable. My favourite pair of Miss Sixty cost me close that in 2004 and I am still wearing them.

Can't beat EDWIN jeans, i live in my edwin sens not cheap at $200 a pair but the best fit and most comfortable ive ever found to fate

Also like the fit of DR DENIM jeans at only $120

G Star have some decent jeans as well.

$200 is alot for jeans, but thats normally the most i will spend

S7ven,True religion, Rock and Republic are all great. J brand is ok but I am not really a fan of them myself. The best thing to do is grab a bunch of different brands and try them all on and see what you like.

You can find a good pair of any of those brands between $180 to $290 or if you have a Buffalo Exchange by your home thats a really good place to find Jeans that someone bought and decided to get rid of. My friend went the other day and found 4 pairs of True Religons and got them all for $230.

Jam You should check that out since your in Long beach its off 2nd Street where all the bars are by Naples and right past Legends Sports bar.

^nordstrom's rack and feline's closet are both discount stores that carry many designer jeans for a wee less then the actual store.

^Yeah I forgot about that, I think I picked up a pair of R&R at Nordstroms rack the other day for $150ish.

$200 is pretty much my limit... I spent $220 on my paige jeans but I really love them. I think I've gone over on one pair of Rock & Repulics but that's it.

I've wanted a pair of True Religions foreveeeever but they're always in the $250+ range when I see them. And I hate when they're super embellished, looks tacky. But I recently discovered their jrs line which I'm in love with. The 14s a 23 and the 16s s 24/25, they're priced in the 100-150 range so way cheaper. If you're small and short they work well, they've got a much shorter hem. I don't know who if the vast majority of people buying jeans are 5'10 nowdays but it annoys me to no end to go buy a pair that are RIDICULOUSLY long but have a special hem, so you have to go get them hemmed keeping the original hem :P and then even if they did some distress/design on them above the hem you lose it... I'm 5'5 and I can never find jeans that I don't need to hem.

This thread is inspiring me to buy a new pair of jeans :D

But none of the brands mentioned so far are in Australia....

Well, not that I've come across anyway...??

The only Australian brand for jeans I know of is Ksubi?

I like them, I have a pair I got on sale from Barneys, good skinny jeans. But they're very pricey here, 250-300... are they as expensive in Australia?

I know DJs has some of the brand names mentioned. Also, if you go online and see a brand that you like you can go on their website and they'll list locations worldwide that carry their collection. I don't know of any Aussie online shopping websites, but I can PM you a long list of good USA online shopping websites if you'd like :) a lot ship worldwide as well.

Mine change every year. Right now Gap makes some pretty great jeans that fit my body perfectly.

K, honestly, I just skimmed this thread to see if someone mentioned this site. They were dead on for a pair that fit me like a glove, two years ago. While things change, I don't think their "formula" has.

Don't know if it'll be of any use to those of you not in the US, but I say give it a shot.

...I just noticed they now charge a fee for their site... :-/ Meh, still gonna post this in case anyone wants to pay ~$5 for it.
