Does anybody know of a good benzo other than diazepam that has nice muscle relaxant effects? I've tried the following and they all don't really seem to have this effect: alprazolam, oxazepam (only in 100mg plus doses muscle relaxant...which is a stupid dose), clonazepam, bromazepam, flunitrazepam (well it actually could have...problem is it knocks me out too fast to find out), midazolam and temazepam.

Alprazolam is obviously quite sedating, makes me feel heavy etc but the muscle relaxant properties don't seem pronounced at all.

Any help appreciated. I was thinking that if I can't find a benzo along these line I might try carisoprodol. Other non-benzo ideas also appreciated =D

etizolam ive heard is really good for muscle relaxing properties , but also amnesia ... im ordering a box online soon and cant wait to test them out :D ill be comparing them to my favourite (alprazolam) and ive heard atizolam is better recreationally .

I would suggest clonazepam is probably the best benzodiazepine for muscle relaxant properties other than diazepam, in my experience anyway.

That's an interesting one. Clonazepam and Oxazepam fall into the 'too-late' category for me. It just takes them too long to come on and hence any subtle muscle relaxant effects are probably lost on me, as when it's working 2-3 hours later my consciousness/awareness is already too knocked out.

I do remember having good muscle relaxant effect with both of them but only at pretty high doses (100mg Oxazepam or 3mg plus on Clonzepam) Diazepam seems to give quite ok muscle relaxant effect even around the 15mg mark so I was hoping to find something along those lines....smaller dose, good muscle relaxation. Seems like diazepam is the gold standard with regards to this.
