whoa, i recently had blood tests done, get a call the next day to come in and it turns out my kidneys werent functioning properly..they said go directly to the ER so i did and they ran some tests and it turns out i have Rhabdomyolysis...its basically where your skeletal muscle breaks down and releases myoglobin into the bloodstream..the kidneys are affected in a bad way to put it lightly..anyways, i was kept overnight and given iv fluids, still my levels werent good so they had me stay a second night..then i was allowed to go home..i got the bill and even with health insurance, i was shocked..i only have to pay 30% but damn...i was wondering how those of you with poor or no health insurance pay off these medical bills?a buddy of mine was having chest pains and he said the ambulance ride which was around a 2 mile trip cost him over $1600 which insurance does not cover..again, how do you people afford this?

i live in america if you couldnt tell already..lol..

Yeah Just make payments. Whatever you can. There was a point were I was paying off a 1300.00 ambulance ride (about a mile, lol). Sometimes I paid like 10.00 a month. They will harass you but so what. In the meantime, take care of yourself. Fucking up your kidneys is nothing to mess around with!
