Going to take 15mg of Ambien.

I remember taking 30mgs one night, and I was in a drunk-like buzz.
But, it was really smooth, with way more sedation than any benzo had to offer.

It was in between Soma and temazepam. Not heavy, and not light.

I really do have to vouch for Ambien. It's not the sort of thing you want to do each night (recreationally) but it's fun when you do.

Ambien is actually one of my favorite drugs. I can't really pinpoint exactly what it is about it that i enjoy so much...its actually a pretty weird high, it makes you feel disassociated and euphoric at the same time. its like a cross between LSD and Oxy and Xanax. I love it! 15mg is a pretty low dose for recreational purposes but since you've never taken it i'd say that its about right. Have phun =D

Talk about dissociation I shot some Ketamine from the crash cart of a hospital not knowing what the hell I was doing. I was, like dead, but doing mundane tasks while my real body sat there looking around pupils dilated and unresponsive. I like learning the hard way. The paramedics were called and I thought they were angels in the meat wagon, but in the ER room I arrived with the needle still hanging out half-empty. Jeesus.

My friend has 30mg so we'll split it. He says I'll see some things and that it's not too hard to stay awake on. So, I've never taken Ambien before so what's it like and is 15mg too little or too much or just about right?
I know this is an old thread but this must be said. Is 15mg dangerous? Well, when the doctors were first setting the prescription dosage they took their testing as high as 90mg. So, no, in that way it isn't dangerous. The problem comes since Ambien is a hypnotic you can find yourself doing things while you are asleep such as driving a car without remembering a thing about it. Or going shooting and not have a clue what you're shooting at. So, will it hurt you? Not likely but it could kill someone else and you'd wake up in the morning with no memory of killing them so no way to defend yourself. You could spend the rest of your life in prison just because you wanted a little high you were told was safe! I took a prescribed dose of 10mg and was on my motorcycle in my pj's and robe ready to leave the garage. Good thing my wife stopped me, and I remembered nothing but a dream of me on my bike! With Ambien you should always start at 5mg (with someone else around) and work up from there, if needed. Ambien can start very fast, as little as ten minutes so be careful with it. If you are looking for a high there are safer ways to get it.

Good post. And I agree. A couple years ago there was a head on collision in my town because of this. The guy who caused the accident ( and also died ) was leaving his job 20 minutes away from home. He worked the night shift ....10 pm to 6 am.......and took his ambien as he was leaving the parking lot. Apparently he told a friend before he clocked out that he had to get to sleep as soon as he got home as he had things he had to do in the afternoon and evening and wouldn't be able to get a nap or anything before he had to be back at work that night. So he figures he will take his ambien as soon as he clocks out and by the time he gets home it will be kicking in.

It kicked in and he was 2 miles from home when he fell asleep and crossed the center line. So it had put him to sleep in roughly 15 minutes or less. He died in the crash and seriously injured a Mother and her 5 year old child. They were both in the hospital for weeks. Super sad.

Meds like this should only be taken when you are already in bed and before you get up a family member needs to ask you questions and see how alert you are before you do anything. There are so many stories of people dong all kinds of things and having no awareness of it.
