Going from Morphine Sulfate ER to Methadone pills

Hello,I've been on Pain Management for my Back for 5 years currently taking 90mg a day of Morphyne Sulfate ER pills which i have been crushing from the start and taking orally.I don't want all the trouble in trying to make them injectable so i have the option from my doctor to go on Methadone pills if my back gets worse because i have Degenarative Disc Disease.Is Methadone a better high than Morphine and is it safe to crush Methadone pills?

in a word, yes. I had to have my right trapezius muscle grafted into my arm after a serious accident to plug up a gaping hole in my forearm. Did the Oxy 40mg for a short period then to Morphine sulfate. In short, felt like I was taking placebo at 50-100mg as needed. Switched me to Methadone and bingo. No pain and a great buzz.
