Going from Hydrocodone to Oxycodone

So, i've never tried Oxycodone but really want to.

I don't have a tolerance at all that I've noticed from Hydrocodone and still take 15 mg when i find some.

I would just like to know how much better is oxycodone? Will it feel much different? Im extremly curious.

but as long as i've clicked reply: oxycodone is shorter acting and more stimulating than hydro. it is a little stronger, mg to mg. whether or not it is better is a matter of opinion.

There have been many threads asking this question.

Oxycodone is stimulating for an opioid, gives an energy boost and mood lift. Hydrocodone is more sedating and mellow. I think that Hydrocodone is more capable of given a nicer nod. It'll have me feeling heavier. I think that Oxycodone is more euphoric. However there are those who enjoy Hydrocodone over Oxycodone. Oxy is x1.5 more potent but potency isn't everything.

... have you read through the multiple (probably dozens) of similar threads? Check them out, then get back to me/us as to what YOU think. People like dif. things. Some prefer oxy, others hydro. Read the differences in the other posts. I prefer oxy due to it being more potent, also because it comes without APAP (and in multiple #'s).

ps. 15 mg hydro = 10 mg oxy... roughly.

I wouldn't be able to tell the two apart at the doses you're taking, it becomes more noticable at higher doses. If you like hydro you'll almost certainly like oxy.

15 mgs hydro=10 mgs oxy

im new to the opiate game myself but the times ive done oxy its almost felt the same as hydro. only one time on oxy have i felt a stimulating effect. i usually nod on both
its all opinion on whats better i dont think i have a favorite but like someone else said if you like hydrocodone youll like oxycodone

I never tried oxy's I went from tabs to heroin, but I still love tabs due to the nice little 45 minute energy boost. And then the nice sedating feeling that last about another hour or 2. Are you telling me oxy's give more of a boost?

Oxycodone is much like hydrocodone. Personally oxycodone does it for me the best, but it was the first opiate I tried, so I may be biased. They are VERY similar, though, and 15 mg hydrocodone = 10 mg oxycodone.

If you only take 15 mg of hydrocodone and feel a buzz, then 10 mg of oxycodone can give you that same buzz. You can even take 15 mg of oxycodone if you'd like, nothing will happen, but you will get a stronger high.

I personally like hydrocodone more than oxycodone, even though oxycodone is slightly more potent (1.5x). Hydrocodone is more euphoric, sedating, and it lasts longer, IME.

i started at that same dose 1 1/2 norcos and it was great. but tolerance builds fast trust me. i now would have to take at least 150 mg of oxycodone crushed and snorted in order for me to get a decent buzz. i cant even take hydrocodone any more cuz it doesnt have much affect on me any more and i would have to take like 20 norcos in order to even try to get high. all that Tylenol is just to dangerous for my liver. i still sit and reminisce on the days where 2 norcos would nodd me out of my mind.
