Why do you need to feel like you are inhaling air and not smoke? Fine if you are an asthmatic or something. I actually enjoy the feel of inhaling smoke, pretty much any drug I have ever had a habit of using if smoking was an effective ROA it would be my preferred method whether it be weed, cigarettes, meth, etc.
I HAVE smoked through some quality pieces before, I couldn't count how many different devices and price ranges on said devices I have toked through in my time but I just don't care about the smoke being a little easier going down. I never had a problem taking huge hits through cheap stuff, basically my lung capacity filled, so paying way more to inhale the exact amount of smoke is senseless to me.
I seriously feel like unless you have lung issues like asthma or something you are just being a pussy to make comments like "the smoke is like inhaling air or even as light as a hit from a vaporizer". If you are that worried about your health then buy a vaporizer or cook with your bud, if you actually want to SMOKE your weed then realize that your lungs are going to feel slightly irritated by the smoke and deal with it.
How can you justify paying for a bong what you could pay for a fucking ounce? It is no contest to me I am going to have more weed to smoke with my money not a more expensive piece.
I could even see the argument in that I don't expect everyone to be exactly like me, but these super expensive bongs 10 times the price of a normal bong are only 2 or 3 times easier on your lungs a best, the simple fact is you are NOT getting what you are paying for.

I mean where's the common knowledge in that concept? A cleaner smoke, allows you to smoke more with less irritation. I used to smoke at least a half ounce a day; it came to the point where it was becoming too much on my throat and lungs. I don't care how much of a "manly man" you consider yourself, but if you keep smoking copious amounts of Cannabis daily. You will come to a point eventually where even the first few hits will begin to make you cough, very violently I may add.
It's just a healthy alternative. If your issue is wanting to be able to smoke more, then make the inhalation easier on yourself. There's nothing wrong in that. I used to think just like you, "saving my money to get higher." Except, an ounce is $300? You shouldn't be paying more than that. If you can't fork out a measly $150 for a decent bong, then you probably should get a better job...

I just want to say, with my experience, a nice bong will get you ripped with a lot less weed. Yes you paid $200 for a nice ass bong, but that's exactly what you get. A nice fuckin bong, that can save you money in the long run. I can smoke a bowl out of a pipe and not get to the same level high I can get off a single percolator rip.

Thanks to everyone thats posted so far. I got my pipe the other day and gave it a go last night with some decent bud. I got an ounce from my friends brother and typically his weed is a lot better than what I usually smoke but two bowls from that pipe had me going for two hours.
The hit was really smooth and did taste alot better which, to be honest, I did doubt would happen. It tasted like there were no other comtaminants in it, no metal, no screens. Just bud and air. Also it has a carb hole so I can take bigger hits from it without coughing.
To anyone that was in my position and wasnt sure about the glass pipes being worth it, they definately are. I spent about the same amount of money on my glass piece as I did on the metal pipe before it and the difference is amazing. When I can afford it, Il buy a nice bong as well with glass on glass joints and all the fancy shit.

Chillums look a little bit complicated for me lol. I cant usually do much when Im baked and one of those things looks like hard work. Are they much better tho?
Honestly I don't like chillums really, I don't see what is complicated at all about them though. Basically you have a bowl at one end, and it's just straight to your mouth. I find that they pull the shit through pretty easily and you get mouth fulls of ash pretty often. I always thought they weed would fall out of it pretty easily since the bowl is on it's side instead of going straight up, while a little bit of weed does fall out sometimes, it's not a big though. They are usually pretty small so they get hot easily, but I think it's nothing special compared to any other glass bowl. Maybe the shorter distance from herb to lungs makes it less stale, meh. Opinions are different for everyone. Get one for yourself and experiment. Personally it's my goal to try and have at least one of each type of smoking device. So far i'm doing really well. I want a new chillum though, mine is pretty cheap. And I still need a glass blunt, those things are kick ass.

Maybe I do need a better job, thanks I didn't realize earning more money would be a positive thing, it really is that easy to just decide "hey I want a better job" and poof you just get it. Maybe you have a better job than me (well you definately do since I recently became unemployed) good on you mate, we can't all afford to drop big cash on a bong and some of us actually value money enough to not squander it on such a pointless object even if we did.

If you bothered to read the post you have been so critical you would of noticed the above 3 quotes say nothing about you being a pussy or me being superman and I have included rational argument in that post.
It is your argument against my post that is irrational because you are acting as though my whole opinion is based one one quote you keep repeating and completely ignoring the rest of my points that make a valid opinion, one that happens to be different from yours.
