Glass Pieces... ever see a painted one?

I own a zong, and I have painted it pretty beautifully and abstract. I'd like to hear who would actually pay for hand painted pieces. I could post a picture if you guys would like, but just wondering... if you were to see well painted glass pipes and pieces at lets say, a music festival, would you be willing to purchase them? I'm trying to see how many people like me there are out there who would really want to own a unique piece of glass like mine. -Not trying to sell them here, don't worry bluelight. This is just a business idea in my head right now. Let me know if you want me to post pics bluelighters!

I don't know, either you'd have to find a cheap hookup on all clear peices, which is possible, some glassblowers will do bargins if you buy a bunch..

Another thing if you had access to a sandblaster you could paint your peices all crazy.. put resist in pattersn on the clear peices, sandblast away everything but the resist and wala you have a picte/design on the peice in frosted sandblasted glass and you could paint the rouch sand blasted parts for a 2 part design.. Or just sandblast the whole peice, it will make your paint stick better, you can use paint brushes or a airbrush..

I'm in a hurry ritw now but if u msg me iL'll tall you some even crazier ideas and how to go about getting cheap clear peice4\s, even tho i think its would be cheaper to make them your self, after initial start up costs.

Hell yea I like that sandblasting idea, that always looks sick if done well. As far as painted glass I would have to see a pic, I like my glass to be painted with molten glass I really dont see painted ones catching on, there is way to much interest in quality hand blown glass art/pipes , not really a market for hand painted pipes, ya know?

i think the best ones are the ones that fill in. they always have the coolest design, sometimes 3d.
i would definitely pay for a nicely painted piece at the right price. i would love to see a pic

If people like your work then they will pay money for it regardless of the medium you used.

People sandblast peices and then paint them with airbrushes, it caught on from the "straight" non pipe glass scene.


And yes if you can pull of the price point and work fast eveouth that yopur price per hour is high gp for it..

And also people do look for diffrenece and individuality in the pipes.. something nobodys seen before..

I'm busy atm but latter tonight or tommorow i will post some sick colored peices in here, you can also wire warp your peices just like wire wrap crystal jewelry... and opiotanlly put electrodes in a buxcket of water mixed with stannous chloride or a few other chems and leave the wire wrapped peice in it overnight and when it comes out you bake it in the kiln @200 or so for 10 min and you get this crusty faded green look/patina.. you know like the color metal articfacts pulled from an old sunken shit would look?

Theres a million possibilites with glass....
