It's hard to know. 2005 sold out within a couple of days. last year took 4 weeks. And the capacity has increased this year again [although the reputation may have increased as well]

I suspect it'll be ok for a few weeks.

They have deferred the licence discision by 5 days. I wonder if they will have to postpone ticket sales?

[the alternative venue will be more money to hire, so it impacts on the ticket price]
 
made it last year. see thread. had no mobile and i feel I missed out meeting others altyhough had a fantastic time!

although as the threads afterwards will testify i spent most of the time fucked. Its worrying when the people you camp with at ask the friends you came with if I ever stop consumption or sleep.

Did spend three days non-stop...which for me is absolutely non stop...hehe.

I hope tickets are reissued otherwise im scamming in which I cant be fucked with although I know most of the people I was with did last year. But its one thing that will play on my mind, basically I know I cant get away with the challenge. I need the freedom to know my debauchery is warranted for once!

Either way I'm getting there. one of the main reasons i'm relocating and renovating my life is I refused to give up that weekend. Its also the reason Im fucked for it.

I've been offered lends etc and could easily get credit but I'm not going to because I'm staking a lot already. I just hope there is a reissue in the pipeline!
 
Ok... so the council have given permission...but...

capacity has to be reduced from 16.5k to 12.5k AND
sound levels have to be reduced

It might not be viable financially [or enjoyably if the sound levels are too crap], so the organisers are thinking about whether to go ahead with the revised plans.

Should hear one way or t'other tonight...
 
i doubt it to be honest - i can't imagine they will have submitted for planning persmission in a new place already- and i doubt there will be time to submit a new one now.

I suspect if it doesnt happen in Wasing, it won't be happening at all this year :/
 
glade tickets on sale tonight for people on the mailing list!!!! Then on sale proper midday 20th of April.

Too bad I spent the fucking money in my account! Anyone up for sorting me 2 tickets tonight?! I can pay back on the weekend plus a little sweetner!
 
Jesus fucking Christ, I've been following this sorry saga all evening.

You wouldn't believe the shit they've had to wade through to get the license this year. Reading the reams of application documentation on the West Berkshire Council website makes me want to stab Environmental Health officers in the eyes with pencils. Fucking jobsworth do-gooding cunts every one of them.
