I find this story hilarious because it's hard to imagine a more enticing pro-cannabis message for children: "Hey kids, check out this story. It proves pot makes those cookies you love so much better than you could ever conceive! Not only that, but it shows there's these things called dispensaries that sell pot infused right into your favorite snack. Delicious and so very convenient! Truthfully dispensaries are better than toy stores and being high on pot is more fun than cartoons (oh yeah, cartoons are also WAY better on pot). But remember doing pot is wrong ... well unless you like cookies -- then it's sort of the best thing ever."

They support pro-choice organizations, accept MtF scouts in the troops, objectively discuss LGBT issues and role-models in the handbooks, and support the improvement and advancement of girls.

Sounds more like lesbian indoctrination to me. I was sad to see the boys scouts fold under pressure and change their ban on gays at least they still prohibit being atheist or agnostic. I'm actually kinda surprised someone hasn't founded gay scouts yet, rainbow badges and all.

As for the cookie sales I'm sure once the novelty wears off sales will even out and probably be lower than normal locations, I don't know if I would call her genius but I would definitely call her an opportunist.

You're definitely thinking of the BOY scouts. The girl scouts is a wonderful progressive organization that teaches girls that they are every bit as equal as boys, and should have full rights to their body and life (like the right to seek out an abortion, the right to love another woman, the right to work outside the home, the right to an education, the right to a loving caring relationship, the right to think for yourself, etc).

I think they got the idea from that photoshopped picture of Girl Scouts in Colorado. I was seeing that picture for like a week on FB before I read this article and the denial from the CO girl scouts.
