I work in a surgical orthopaedic ward in a major hospital. So a lot of trauma cases from car and motor bike accidents, oldies getting hip replacements etc. Its really interesting work. I see a lot of gnarly injuries thats for sure.

What good stories do you have? Any particularly embarrassing injuries treated or horrible accidents you've dealt with the aftermath of?

It lasts roughly 3 hours, I have two caps of 40 mg left and I redose about every 2 hours because it takes an hour or so for the oral dose to kick in IME. Dosing every two hours the next dose comes up as the previous one tapers off, and you get a fairly consistent level (as best as I can tell at least) of stimulation. People staying up from days on end are either vaping heroic quantities and then twigging out on the aftereffects, or are doing spaced redoses throughout the time.

The cravings from this stuff are so, so weird. I did not notice a rush from either of the snufflopagus doses, and yet my brain is still urging me to try it again because this time I might get something. It's like I'm chasing a high that I haven't even felt and don't know if it actually exists. Resisting for now because I want duration more than anything and as I understand it snorting reduces that. I think I will try snorting once more, after my tolerance has fallen off over christmas, with 40 mg or so, and then that will actually be that unless it's like getting smashed in the face with a gold brick wrapped in a slice of lime. I really, really don't trust this stuff, but on the other hand the upsides, as best as I can notice them, are pretty good. It's just so... shifty and sneaky that you can't help but want to keep an eye on it before it tries something really underhanded.

Edit: As I was going for a piss the perfect analogy struck me. 3-FPM is like you go to a hospital, everything is brilliant white, scrubbed within an inch of its life, all the potted plants perfectly manicured, production line looking staff walking around with big, cold, dead smiles that can't help but creep you the fuck out because nothing is that perfect without being completely fake and artifical. And you know, if you get put under its odds even you wake up in a dumpster round the back with all your internal organs nicked and donald trump's mutant hairdo surgically grafted to your left bollock. Nothing is this polished and clean without hiding something.
I am glad its not available here in oz or i would be tempted to try it. Sounds like it would be a good study aid, for writing essays and such. I am glad we dont have an rc scene here like you guys do though. All those RC benzos are a disaster in the making. I think there will be a lot of problems appearing when those things are banned.

Yeah benzos are one of those things I have been totally scared away with messing with from all the stories of how bad quitting them is on here. Especially something unknown, when you know how bad even the well known shit can go, to try something in the same class with bugger all information seems like just too much risk. At least as a class stimulants are on the lower side of dangers, plenty of them are risky of course, but any benzo you know you will have to pay a very steep price when you want to quit.

I will definitely be trying 3-FPM for studying, though I feel like it'd have some tolerance issues that route. Should be pretty great for exams I'd think, though I think I'd consider a higher dose because it still feels it's fighting the lingering crap in my head that's either depression or antidepressants or possibly both. I can write fine with this dose, which is getting screwed by tolerance building from the extended session I'm sure, perhaps even somewhat better than I would be without all my crap going on, although there is a very strong tendency to just go haring off down whatever train of thought is passing through, which leads to bloated rambly posts. But other than that, which I think I could control if I was writing for a purpose instead of just foruming, which is really closer to chatting than writing to spec, this dose is fine for writing but I'm not sure the maths bit of my brain is properly switched on yet, and that's what I'll really need for january exams. I should have done an essay-writing subject, essays are bullshittable but you can't really bullshit maths questions unfortunately. I guess bigger hits and more prep are really the only way to go.

I certainly have a few of those but i dont like to share them outside of work colleagues. Its just one of those rules of being a nurse. I will however say i will never ride a motor bike again as i have seen the results of too many injuries nor will i use IV drugs as i have seen people with horrible infections that are really hard to treat and a few that have lost limbs as a result of injecting.

I'd like to ride, how much would you say the proper safety gear affects the severity of motorbike accidents. I've certainly heard how bad the risks are with nothing, but do you still get a lot of patients who were riding as safely as possible or is a lot on the rider to take care of themselves? (I would probably be in the "geared safely, drives stupid" category if nothing else because I love going fast a little too much).

I've spent some weeks in the trauma ward after a bike crash. I wouldn't envy you your job, but I'm glad you and people like you do that job:)

Somebody has to stick morphine suppositories into hairy crying bike crash guys at 4am.

Always, always, always wear a helmet, gloves and good tough footwear. Everything else is optional.

I personally know three people dead this year from no helmet. The body will heal most things, but heads are fragile.

Yeah benzos are not to be fucked with in my opinion. There are some bloody terrible tales of the results of rc benzo use on this board. It seems a lot of people are playing with fire and using ridiculous amounts. And who knows the toxicology of some of these rcs, stimulants included. Its seems like there is just this giant lab experiment going on and the members of this board are the guinea pigs. I think the only ones that i would think likely have a good safety profile are the lysergamides as lsd is proven to be pretty safe from a physical perspective. But i am not one to judge. I have put my share of nefarious compounds into my body over the years and have a fondness for cardiotoxic compounds like cocaine.

I'm sure if you looked on the right fetish boards, you could find people who'd pay you to let them do that. Though I'm kind of surprised they'd be giving suppositories and not just have you on a drip, or am I being clueless and morphine in the butt is the standard way of pain relief?

Drip wasn't enough and they wouldn't give me more injections, so eventually I got rolled over and a few pellets stuck up me.

Long time ago now, 12 years, still by far the strongest pain I've ever experienced -not getting the suppositories stuck up me; the reason I was getting them stuck up me!

I think especially the way people get reckless with these things is just going way too far. I'm not clean on that regard of course, look at how much I've taken over the last 12 hours with barely any experience to know what risks I'm taking beforehand, and of course without blood work or other medical checking even that wouldn't reveal if there's longer term damage being done, but the fact that my usage is on the low end is just kind of nuts. These are things both powerful and unknown, in no way should you just be throwing yourself in headfirst.

I've been taking antioxidant tablets with every RC stim I've been taking, no way to know if there's actual benefit but from some resources linked by erowid about oxidative stress from amphetamines I figure it's not likely to hurt and if it keeps me from paying as high a price for my foolish risks, then sign me way the hell up. Would be interesting to get one of the pharma knowledgable guy's opinions on antioxidants and stim effects.

Now I am leaving in 40 min so I really, really, should be packing instead of yakking.

The people who dont have safety gear come off far worse in my experience. I have seen people with the skin totally degloved from their legs and arms on top of multiple fractures. So the results are multiple skin grafts ( if they have enough untouched skin to use as donor sites) , lots of hardcore antibiotics to try and keep infections at bay and multiple surgeries to a) fix the fractures then b) wash out the wounds so they heal. The recovery is slow and painful even with plenty of pain relief. Lots of redressing wounds which is no fun for the patient. Basically it would be a horrible experience. Protective gear certainly helps prevent the worst case scenarios from occurring but its no guarantee and certainly not a licence to not be careful when riding.

Yep pain management is a huge part of the job and if you need a suppository at 4am thats what we are there for though we try and manage most pain with oral, iv and transdermal opiates but suppositories are sometimes needed too.

I hear that loud and clear, though there's a fair chance I'll still be taking risks, just with the knowledge that I'm putting myself in danger when I do. Best you can do is know what your betting against what you're getting really, no one else can tell you if the deal is worth it except you.

On a different note, have you ever seen r/degloving? Of course, if it wouldn't be a violation of all sorts of medical privacy laws I'd bet you'd be able to really fill that subreddit up : P

Oh and sprout, now you've showed up, can you give the deets on oxidative stress, neurotoxicity and antioxidants for amphetamines please?

There is a subreddit on degloving injuries? Bizaare. I will have to check it out.

How long till you have to catch your train? I have no idea what time it is in England. Its 9.50pm here in oz. Coming back to earth now from mushroom land. Pizza in the oven. Beer in hand.

The same pizza you seemed to be talking about making and eating hours and hours ago? If so.... haha! Welcome back from Planet Psilocybin amigo.

Pretty good talk on various types of injuries sustained in high speed bike mishaps, given by a now sadly deceased motorcycle doctor.

Pizza has been half eaten. The rest will be served cold for breakfast with a glass of milk. Planet Psilocybin was awesome tonight. Its always good to have a psychedelic reset to realign ones receptors :). I am glad i resisted the urge to have a drop or two of the liquid L though or i would be up all night :)

Hey, nothing wrong with doing that ; )
