Gibberings Episode CCIV - A New Hope

'Savlon Man' just sounds like a gay superhero.
Not quite as bad as Captain Cuss, the rather useless superhero who just swears a lot, so ordinary citizens don't have to pollute their own mouths. (No, I don't think this is serious enough for the F-word. Damn you, Kez the Incurable Hippy, where the bloody hell are you?) Although he does have a cool speech bubble with random punctuation marks on his lycra'd-up chest :)

The Smiths - a guilty pleasure maybe; The Cure - saw them at Glastonbury tripped off me box on windowpane during an amazing thunderstorm - made them seem a lot better than they actually were (preferred the Psychedelic Furs myself); James Blunt - you can't be serious?; Burzum - er, who?; The Crystal Method - now yer talking...

The Smiths a guilty pleasure...!?! Nooooooooo, how so man? Morrissey might be a bit of a wanker, but The Smiths were good. I agree with you about James Blunt though............ Sprout are you on the wind up matey?

Do you think you might give up the gear for good now Julie? I know you were saying that the WDs seem to get worse every time and you thought you might just have had enough. I think at some point t everyone just get sick and tired of being sick...... and tired.

Let me know how you get on. I'll be rooting for you <3

Hip Hop to me its like asking your grandad back in the day does he like the sex pistols

he liked one song my way;)

Decent hip was during the late 80s and 90s in my opinion. Often cited as the golden age of hip hop where a lot of the things being rapped about was shit that mattered, Public Enemy Fear of a Black Planet for example. Now it's all bling and hoes, I don't listen to much modern day stuff at all.

I could be wrong evey but I doubt your 3-F will be here tomorrow. Today's a bank holiday and vendors won't be shipping until tomorrow meaning you should get it Wednesday at the earliest.

Nevermind, I can't read. Thought you'd said tomorrow is a bank holiday and got all excited and also confused

Not for good. Just a long break. If I can keep my "off" to "on" ratio the right side of 1, then I'll have forgotten the previous comedown sufficiently not to make the next one worse with the anticipation. If that makes sense. (I'm convinced the worsening-each-time effect is mostly or entirely influenced by set and setting. If you expect it to cane, it's gonna cane .....)

My dealer will be back from his Christmas break by now, but I don't want to set myself up for this shit again so soon. My body will be back to making its own opioids soon enough, anyway.

I actually love JB, I associate him with some incredibly fond memories (the 6 months of my childhood that my father wasn't in the grips of a ridiculous Amphet. addiction (2g of Polish power a day) and chronic alcoholism were spent listening to Back To Bedlam on repeat) and think he is simply brilliant lyrically.
Honest and heartfelt with little care for the poppy shite that plagued the radio during the 00's.

I love anything that's either heartfelt or made with talent, not much care for commercialism.

Too many bank holidays that means two whole days until I get it. Can someone please tell me why we need this fucking bank holiday? :)

Evey
I'm not being funny Eve but if you can't wait two whole days for a drug, is that not a clear sign that maybe some time off is needed?
You should probably check the 3-F thread some time soon too.
