It is quite wet outside in London too.

Not too wet to go to my lecture though...

I love the many different starts to the day we all have...Connected by the fact that it's raining.

We're all, like, interconnected (maaan).

Yeah interesting Albion Hmmm.

Fuk it was ghastly out their , met a mate while at the chemist 16 doors went through yesterday in my city over 250 Warrants served in the Sout West Fuk You Operation Relentless

Hmm, 'a stark message to those intent on pursuing a life of illegal activity, that crime simply does not pay in Avon and Somerset.'

That's awfully bad copy but I bet they were chuckling as they wrote it.

Yeah it's from the Avon & Somerset police website.

Almost 400 criminals paid the penalty for pursuing a life of illegal activity as police swooped to arrest them during the latest Relentless day of action.

The final arrest total of 380 was the highest in the seven-year history of Relentless and sends out a stark message to those intent on pursuing a life of illegal activity, that crime simply does not pay in Avon and Somerset.

Yesterday's day of action followed a two-month long campaign, targeting many of the area's most prolific criminals responsible for car crime, burglary and robbery. During that operation the police arrested more than 1200 culprits.
Since Relentless was launched in Avon and Somerset in 2005 there have been almost 4000 arrests.

The latest "day of action" began during the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday) as briefings were held across the force area in the six policing districts, laying the foundation for a miserable day for criminals in Avon and Somerset.

Around 1000 police officers, police community support officers and police staff supported the event with many of those who are normally based at police headquarters in Portishead joining colleagues across the force area to tackle criminals head-on.

During the course of the latest 24-hour period of enforcement action, cells across the force area were quickly filled and courts were kept busy with a steady stream of arrested culprits.

A number of cannabis factories were dismantled and those wanted on warrant returned to the courts.

Backing up the enforcement action across the force area, officers mounted reassuring high visibility patrols in anti social behaviour hotspots, providing crime prevention advice and guidance and also receiving information and intelligence from members of the public.

Assistant Chief Constable Anthony Bangham said: "You can't carry out this kind of operation on your own. The quality of information from the public assisted us tremendously, to make this one of the most successful Relentless operations in the seven-year history. They have been our 'eyes and ears' and we responded positively.

"The daylong event was an extension of our normal daily policing but highlighted how professional our staff are, doing what they do best.

"It demonstrates we will not shy from taking on the criminals head-on to provide public reassurance, confirming Avon and Somerset as a safe place to live and work," confirmed ACC Bangham.

that's what it feels like to some people .

i know one guy that has his door done every time they do those raids regardless if they have cause or not .

Police press officers really aren't very clued up when it comes to journalism. They must be the lowest of the low in the police force!

Surely it's a good thing that the burglers, car thieves and muggers have been banged up right? It's just ridiculous that weed users are lumped into the same group as these scumbags.

This is why i posted about it on Drugs Forum . But i don't segregate weed users from Heroin addicts either we are all criminals in the eyes of the law

I smoke weed have done for 25 years & am also A Heroin Addict.

My day to day life doesn't give me any reason to have a problem with anyone using heroin. That said I do draw a distinction between heroin (and heavy coke/crack) users and other drug users.

With these substances if a problem does develop, the very powerful need for heroin/crack makes this group more likely to engage in harmful/destructive behaviors (theft, prostitution etc). Not saying that all heroin users run into these problems, and scripted heroin would solve a great deal.

I guess my point is that no one is out there on a street corner so they can get an 1/8th of weed or a pill. Not many psychedelic users with £100 a day habits (imagine the state they'd be in if they did though 8o).
