Certainly worth making sure they know about any health problems you have.
They may say try for ESA or you might be able to get JSA with restrictions placed on what work and hours etc that you can or can't do.
They should be able to advise you as what's best to do though. Worth making sure all your medical stuff is recorded by your doctor at some point if he isn't already aware.

Yes my medical stuff is recorded.

Yes to be quite honest I think restricted working hours could be a goer. I really want to retrain though, to a non-sedentary occupation. If I keep moving about my neck is not a problem. Like doing the electrical work at my cousin's last week, no neck pain. 40 minutes at the computer though and I'm in agony.

I don't how that affects my claim. I am seeing the skills people tomorrow. Basically I'm not looking for work, I'm looking for training. Or work-based training, an apprenticeship electrician would be ideal.

Well hopefully they can point you in the right direction then Knock.
Like Marmz has already said that at least you will be getting your National Insurance paid while you are claiming.

Yeah, tomorrow is my meeting with the Skills Development agency, so hopefully will get some plans put together then :)

Anyway enough about me! How are you and what are your plans for the day?

I'm fine mate thanks. Not much on today just got to go Tescos soon for some tobacco and that is it for today.
Tmrw I'm supposed to be on Work programme meeting but have been signed off by by Gp for a month cos of my dvt.
Also got to see the jobcentre about going onto ESA for a little while until my leg gets better.
Nothing exciting as usual.

Can you claim ESA at the jobcentre? Like I just posted in the JSA thread, the only way to claim JSA is online.

I suppose it would not be easy to fill their forms in on a phone, and they have computers at the JCP.

I should now be filling in my JSA application but I really feel like going back to bed. 30mg 4-FA didn't quite hit the spot. Maybe I need some more? It probably can't hurt anyway.

edit: no, still sleepy :?

Afternoon ladies and gents <3

Lovely stressful shitey pointless day. I had a rant here but it's gone now. Codeine and snuggling time; I am going to be out of commission for the rest of the day, I think :D

I've got to do a drawing of Edie Sedgwick today for a girl that I like; it's gonna be part of my christmas present to her. Along with this book:

I'm procrastinating as ever though.

Afternoon flowers <3

I too have a can't be arsed Monday. Skived off work, tut tut have double booked myself meetings either side of the country 8)

This winter malarkey is getting on my tits already, how many days do we have before the nights "start drawn oot" again? Please someone tell me its soon....

Keep looking at flights to Goa, Marrakesh n' the like. Desperate for sunshine :(

Instead, I've jammied up, opened a bottle and cut a few lines out and cranked up my laptop. I may be an eadd pest this afternoon :o

Is SHM still a good looking dirty fucker?

EDIT: Albie that is adorable, how could she not fall for that xxx

A friend of mine got lifted on Saturday night over some bullshit. They let him out without charge around 4pm yesterday, but they took fingerprints & a dna swab, is that legal to do that when he hasn't been charged???

The government say it's legal:

How DNA is Collected and Used
DNA

DNA can be obtained from almost any body fluid or tissue. It is obtained for analysis by crime scene examination, collecting a sample from a suspect - known as a Criminal Justice (CJ) sample - or by voluntary contribution.

The sample goes through various processes to extract the DNA before it is analysed and a profile made. A profile is a numerical representation of the DNA's unique properties.

After these processes, the profile is loaded onto the Scottish DNA database, and also exported to the UK National Database. After comparison with existing profiles, any matches between unsolved crime DNA profiles and suspect profiles are issued to Police Forces for investigation. These are know as "Intelligence Reports".

In Scotland, when someone is arrested and held in custody, the police have the power to require forensic samples from that person. In the case of a sample for DNA purposes, this is usually done by taking a swab of saliva from the inside of the mouth. This is known as a criminal justice (CJ) sample.

In Scotland, all profiles and samples from a suspect must be destroyed following the end of an investigation if it does not result in a conviction, however, there are some major exceptions to this.

One such exception is if the arrest is for a relevant violent or sexual offence and the accused was proceeded against but not convicted. In such cases, the profiles and sample can be kept for up to 3 years. After this period, the Chief Constable can then apply to a sheriff to keep the profiles and sample for up to two more years and this process can be repeated at the end of each extended period.

A relevant offer is not a conviction, and where an individual has been issued with a relevant offer as an alternative to prosecution for an offence, and one or more of the offences is a relevant sexual or violent offence, the profiles and sample can be kept for up to 3 years. After this period, the Chief Constable can then apply to a sheriff to keep the profiles and sample for up to two more years and this process can be repeated at the end of each extended period. If the offence is not a relevant sexual or violent one, the profiles and sample can be kept for up to 2 years with no possibility of extension.

In the case of a fixed penalty notice offence, which is also not a conviction, the retention period is a fixed two years. The retention period cannot be extended.

Another exception is for children referred to Children's Hearings which are civil proceedings and do not result in convictions. The Criminal Justice & Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 introduced retention in cases of relevant sexual and violent offences where, if the child and their parent(s) has/have accepted the offence grounds or had them established in court. Data can be retained for 3 years with further extensions of up to 2 years subject to authorisation by the court. This applies to children aged eight years and above.

Thats my experience of it yeah... also according to Knocks official looking government thing there..

Its ok as long as you wear a full boiler suit, gloves, balaclava and wellys when you kill people.. worked for me so far :)

That's adorable <3 Both the book and the idea for a drawing. Did a Julian Opie of Blur album cover fame style portrait of my ex for Valentine's day many moons ago and she loved it. Still got it kicking around somewhere. Might try fob it off as her birthday present next month. Or do one of her kids cos their birthdays are in Jan too.

Or actually do my work but yeah.

I have to go near the Jobcentre tmrw anyway so I'm gonna go in and make my claim for ESA using their phones.
Not spending all my credit by being on hold in a queue for ages so may as well let them pay for my call.

Does anyone know about central heating and economising and stuff, i plan to just have 2 radiators on downstairs, one in my living room and one in the downstairs hallway, a corgi registered "central heating engineer" told me it makes no difference to your energy consumption if you have just one or 2 radiators on, or every radiator in the house on. He was a fuckin useless engineer and considered tying a bit of rag around a leak so that it would drip into a bucket a job fixed.

I dont think he had a fucking clue and i should have reported the incomptent twat. Anyway can any one confirm what appears to be common sense, if hot water doesnt have to travel round a massive circuit, and just has to keep 2 radiators warm its bound to use less energy ? I'll heat upstairs with a wood burning fire. Ive given up trying to get a job now until after the new year, so i just want to economise as much as possible in the meantime, and hopefully by next year I'll start regaining some of my natural energy that opis seemed to have "down regulated."
