That is hilarious. I have a growing list of friends who play golf and it really affects my social life. If it's not them staying in because they have golf at some ridiculous time in the morning, it's them actually wanting to watch golf in my presence.

I dont understand how people can watch golf on the tv. It has to be the most boring sport known to man. I have a few friends that play it too..they have given up asking me to join them...as i just give them shit about being try hards. Golf sucks.

Cricket is brilliant.
Golf is tossy toff shit. I've not played a round in years, because i can think of so many better ways to spend the time - but watching golf on television is something i will never understand.
I haven't owned a tele in years, but would probably get stoned and watch the odd test match if i did.
And i'm no sports guy. Not by a long shot.

I am the same brother. I dont really watch any tv at all. Not a sports fan either..except surfing which to me is more a lifestyle than a sport. I do watch the occasional test match with my old man and enjoy it...but its very occasional. I am one of the rare Aussie males not obsessed about all things sport. Music and books are my kind of entertainment..oh and drugs

Excellent! Golf bores are even worse than fishing bores. I used to work with a guy who never shut up about how he used to be a 'professional golfer' (he was only 24 ffs). So I asked him "what are you doing here then?" His reply was "well its hard to make a living from because you have to rely on sponsorship". Then another guy chipped in with "so you were fuckin wank then?" That shut the cunt up - for 10 seconds...
