Bupe Getting Through It... I Hope. Combating Heroin W/D with Suboxone Film

Hey so SWIM has had a small/moderate heroin addiction for the last year or so. Recently SWIM has been smoking 1-1.5 bags (around .2 each) a day. SWIM decided to kick the stuff, again, but instead of facing things cold turkey SWIM got his hands on some Suboxone Film. SWIM had 6 mgs worth of film (dont ask, I know they come in 8mg strips, SWIM had 6), and after doing some research has taken his first 2mg dose 21 hours after last using and felt immensely better. The next morning SWIM took his 2nd 2mg dose and felt a little better but not as great as SWIM was expecting. SWIM is going to take his last 2mg tonight and is wondering what to expect tomorrow. Is SWIM going to w/d from the Subs over the next few days? How bad will it be, will SWIM still feel shitty from the H w/d? Should SWIM split his last dose into two 1mg doses and take one tonight and one tomorrow? Obviously SWIM would like to minimize any and all discomfort.. Thanks guys!

Hey we dont use SWIM here so you should edit it out of your post to save the moderators some time as i'm sure they do this countless times a day.

If you were to just take your last 2mg then the next day you would still be hurting from your heroin withdrawals as they can be pretty nasty up until the 5 day mark. I recommend taking 1mg and then the next day taking .5mg and then .5mg again or .25 and .25. Your choice...good luck.

I would split it into two 1mg doses, or even 1mg tonight, and .5 the next two days. The half-life is very long, so you will still have a decent amount of the drug in your system, so even if you take a 1mg dose the level of the drug in you should be about the same as it was from the 2mg the day before.

Since it has a long half-life the withdrawals start a day or so later than heroin withdrawals. In the end you will still have some withdrawals, but not as bad as if you went cold turkey.
