So this is maybe the third time happening to me...ive been using subutex the past 3 days...only one pill spaced out. I woke up puking the day after i took my last line at night. Could it be from withdrawl that im throwing up? I dont have any other symptoms except puking. Like i said this is the third time its happend after using subs. I didnt think i could withdrawl after only using one pill even if i did space it out for 3 days...its only 8mg. And im not puking from just taking high doses of bupe either, idk i cant explain it. Has any one else ever had issues with nausea after using subutex only for a few days and at low doses? Thanks for any responses!

No, I don't think you would be withdrawing unless you were using opiates before you started the subs. ime. And you say you're not puking from high doses. People have mini overdoses if they take too much and in sequence sometimes, without a tolerance.
When I would reinitiate opiate use after stopping I would sometimes get sick, as my tolerance was set low again and was using a high amount, again. My body couldn't take it

Maybe, if puking is YOUR typical 1st sign of WD. Me, I almost never puke, it's the hot/cold, profuse sweating, insomnia, and time dilation that are the worst.

I have seen these many times, you just took too much. Buprenorphine is extremely potent, and 8mg is NOT low dose. 0.2mg is a low dose.
8mg to someone without a tolerance is just too much and is gonna make you puke. Even though you spaced it out, this stuff stays in your system very long.
And seriously, give yourself at least 2 or 3 days between dosing or you will develop a habit rather quick.

Agree with above, I've seen so many people with low tolerances take 8mg and throw up for days. They don't realize it's a very potent opioid until it's too late to do anything about it. I'm a little envious, I've never felt anything from it.

What opioids have you used previously and at what doses? That can better tell us what an appropriate recreation dose would be for you.

Way too much if you don't have tolerance. Think about it...just under 3mg a day - snorted - which for me doubled strength while not shortening length. By the time you're snorting next night you've still got at least half of yesterdays on your receptors.

^ This.

Even with a very high opiate tolerance from daily IV opiates I would never exceed 4mg of Bupe personally, via any ROA. Usually 2mg or less is plenty, and under 1mg is more than plenty if my tolerance isn't that high. That's for sublingual admin anyway - if I'm IVing, snorting, or plugging I can divide those doses by anywhere from 2-4x depending on my tolerance.

Honestly most likely you're puking because you took too much. In my experience over 4mg Bupe often makes me nauseous even with a very large tolerance, and as little as 2mg can (or less if IV/plugged/snorted) if I'm non-tolerant/low tolerance.

If it was withdrawal you'd be experiencing the other symptoms of withdrawal too. Nausea is the main sign you've done too much Bupe in my experience - since for me Bupe never feels "too strong" in the same way that other opiates/opioids do, even when I take way too much - I just feel nauseous/sick.

Plus you say you've only had the one pill, so I'm assuming you weren't using other opioids before jumping onto the Bupe? If not, then it's definitely not withdrawals, and simply from taking too much. 8mg divided into 3 doses is way too much if you don't have a tolerance, especially if you're snorting it.

Well seeing that most of you, or all of you said that I was taking to much than il go with what your saying. I am naive when it comes to opiates as i rarely take them. But I still have to say it, yes I am being told that im taking doses too high for my tolerance but when i break out a 1.5mg line and do it I dont feel THAT fucked up. Ive never done heroin but the strongest opiate ive done and use it to compare all the opiates i use know to is opana 40mgxr, the old ones. I could take a VERY small line of that and be nodding like a mother fucker and i dont get sick. Well thank you for the responses, much appreciated.

Bupe doesn't have the same high you'll never feel as good as on opana. It's designed to provide as little a high as possible.

^ exactly. It doesn't have many of the opioid effects that people enjoy, like sedation and euphoria.

As I said, Bupe doesn't make you feel as fucked up as the likes of Heroin, Oxy, Morphine etc.. It's only a partial agonist at the mu-opioid receptor, the primary receptor responsible for almost all of the pleasurable effects of opioids. That's why users with high tolerances don't even get high from Bupe any more, because they're used to much stronger opioids, and the mild Bupe buzz just doesn't cut it.

Nausea though can still happen even with partial agonists, that's why I said that nausea is the primary sign of doing too much Bupe. I can take 20-30+ doses of Bupe at once and I won't feel fucked up and nodding to oblivion in the same "full on" fashion that I feel with Heroin or Morphine, but I'll still be puking my guts up and feeling really sick, and probably fairly sedated.

What the others said.
I use 6 to 100mg off oxy/hydrocodone a day and take breaks withs subs, and an 8mg can last me 5 to 7days with no wd symptoms. I feel basicially normal just a bit blah with a dull headache.

Well yesterday was the last straw. Got one last 8mg subutex and gave it one more shot to see if i could get any good effects without throwing up the next day...no luck. I think what im comming to understand is that A. Subutex will never feel as good as the other opiates ive done and as much as i chase that feeling on subs il never get it B. Seeing that im chasing a high that i cant get than of course im going to be doing too much and the sickness has to be comming from the high doses of bupe when im opiate naive. Funny thing is the only thing that stopped me throwing up today and made it able for me to eat was when i took a mg of xanax..no idea why. Thanks for all the help!

I'm prescribed to Suboxone 8mg strips and I only take 2mg a day. I find that less is more with bupe. You're like taking too high of a dose or you're going through precipitated WD? I took Subutex a few times before (snorted a quarter(2mg) a day) and it gave me bad headaches and slight nausea. Suboxone doesn't make me feel ill at all, just normal. It's a wonderful maintenance drug. Talk to your doctor. Hope all is well.

If you're taking Sub to find that euphoric high again, you won't find it. I don't feel anything when I take my Suboxone, besides feeling normal. You won't get "high" taking these maintenance drugs, sorry to say. Hang in there though.
