getting rid of that post-smokin'-meth taste

As you might guess by the subject header, I'm looking for advice to get rid of that smoked meth taste. It sticks with me for like a f*in' day and I cannot stand it. If you're wondering, it's dirty crank, not crystal, but it has been washed by cool acetone. (Aside: I wouldn't mind any tips on how to clean/crystallize it.) Things I've tried include water, soda, food, mouthwash, cigarettes, and pot. Please help. (And yes PhreeX, I'm sure banging it would help avoid the taste, but I'm not going to do that. Thanks.)

Nothing will make that taste go away because its kind of in you. The taste lasts about 2 days even when you snort it. When im tweaking my dogs still smell that dirty crystal even after i've showered. High dose oral meth is nice.

Don't smoke it!
As someone said, try it orally...(since you aren't interested in IV).
It's much better orally than smoking anyways...lasts a helluva lot longer.

Orally? Huh? Look, oral meth use is fine - it has it's place, it's a great way to make a $20-sack last you for 2 days - but if you're interested in smoking meth then you'rwe not after the slow and steady high provided from oral use - you would be after a rush, and smoking packs one hell of a punch - something oral use wont even come close to offering..
If you have an after-taste THAT LONG then wash harder, or else it's just crap to begin with.. you dont re-crystalize after washing, if you wash with cool acetone you wont lose the crystals, if you're losing ALL your crystals then you have bullshit to being with...

It's salt form, not crystallized, I should hope it wouldn't require re-crystallizing after cleaning. I was asking how to make crank into crystal in the first place. And you're quite right, it's the rush I'm after, and oral/snorting just doesn't do it.

fatigue is what makes you smell bad. it also causes some people to type in ALL CAPS which is REALLY ANNOYING.
Fairynympho (just kidding about the name thing, please don't hate me), could you recommend an oral dosage? I know this is a really subjective matter, but for what it's worth I'm male, around 130lbs, have a slight tolerance (i've done meth <20x), and the stuff I have is relatively clean but nonetheless nasty crank.

Sorry, no matter how much you eat, you wont get the same rush you will from torching a huge bump of meth and sucking the entire cloud into your lungs, hold it until you can't anymore, then lay back and hope yer heart holds out for the trip.. a large part of that rush is that you go from SOBER to WOW in only a few seconds - not possible orally (of course it's not a meth post unless I have advised that you BANG METH!) .. oh yeah, this post was never about anything other then eliminating "meth breath" ..
For re-crystalizing .. lemme explain, by crystals I mean "salt", "chunks", "shards", or basically any solid particles - we call these "crystals" because if you get all scientific, you will find out that is correct.. anyway, you start with your salt and wash it, now, some of that will go bye-bye, but you should be left with solid particles - these are refered to as our crystals.. if you wash and suddenly there is nothing solid left (say you end up with a goo or something) then you either fucked up your wash (it's difficult to do that if you're using acetone, if you use cold acetone it's really impossible) or as is more likely the case - you had CRAP and the acetone ate up everything that was NOT METH (which happened to be, well, everything) .. how do you re-crystalize? Well, you could try to let it dry but it's unlikely you would ever get anything but a nasty goo - again, the meth HCl is gone (or more correctly - never there to begin with) .. "gassing" only applies to methamphetamine freebase...
As for the smell of meth (the idiot had the question, I further addressed the idiot below but only he needs to read that) ..
For the most part, METH DOES NOT MAKE YOU STINK .. if you want to get technical it DOES increase various things that could lead to this conclusion, but overall this is inaccurate.. the reason you smell worse while on meth is generally because:
1) Meth kicks the body into a higher gear, you will be sweating more while doing less - while sitting on your ass playing GTA 2 on your play station you might be sweating as you normally would be durring a brisk run around the block on a warm summers eve - for this reason, you need to take more frequent showers .. this leads us to:
2) Meth causes many to lose focus of correct priorities .. take your daily shower, when tweaking; double the frequency at which you normally shower.. the same can be said for brushing your teeth - meth will cause yer mouth to dry up, you get less production of saliva, so in turn your breath will kick faster

One more time I must irritatingly request info on how to crystalize. Purity=good. If this is out of board policy or you just don't like it, then close it, but otherwise ... some recommended 1- or 2- solvent methods wouldn't hurt my feelings. (Please include handy-dandy common names for any chem.s involved.)

magicobeano --Ok, well if you have semi-decent crank-y meth, I would suggest around 80 mg orally. When I have really good shit I take 60-70 mg. That will get you pretty fucked, e-like rushes and all. Very lovey, but more intensely stimulating and awake. I get very sexual on meth, especially at higher doses -- I will be aroused/wet the whole time I am high.
Even when I've done meth IV, which I like and definitely has its appeal, it just barely compares to doing meth orally for me. I'm not singing the praises of orally doing meth for no good reason -- it truly makes me feel fucking fantastic, and that's why I love it. Also, the peak (more like a plateau) on oral meth is longer lasting than the peak of pretty much any other drug -- which is definitely a nice bonus.

Phreex already said this, but part of that bad breath is caused by dry mouth. Pot, cigarettes, and mouthwash will only make the dry mouth worse, and therefore, won't really help the breath. Maybe just sucking on hard candy, and/or atking one of those breath assure caps would help...Also, just sipping water would help aleviate the dry mouth, and possibly make the breath lesss offensive.

Could someone describe to me how a crystalline chemical is "washed"?
Is it just submerging the substance in a fluid and then pouring it off?

It's pretty easy. Take a couple of coffee filters, put your crank on top of them, and pour your cold acetone over it. Give it a little while to dry, scrape off the resulting powder, and blaze away!

Alright, you seem to not be understanding this
.. there isn't a "1 or 2 solvent method" .. you don't add some methonal to yer crank and *BAM* you have a sheet of glass, thats not how it works.. ok, the process of crystalizing, sometimes called gassing, is where you take your freebase meth - it's an oil .. you bubble dry HCl gas through that the that HCl bonds to the meth, you then have meth HCl, you wash, and that is your final product.. so if you wash your meth, it already has that HCl salt bonded, so it's not like you're going to break that bond from the wash.. it sound like you're washing and suddenly you dont have any crunchy crystals - what does that mean? Well, most likely that you got such total crap, there ARE no crystals .. sorry, you CANT BRING IT BACK .. you need to just go buy more, and not wash it..

I read about using 2 solvents to purify via crystallization. The reporter claimed that you could dissolve meth in solvent A, then slowly add drops of solvent B (which meth would be less soluble in), and a highly pure product would crystallize/precipitate out. I'm looking for a simple purifying method such as this because this stuff is such crap that there are no crystals, it's all powder form (although in its defense it does burn clean), and I don't have a lot of space/funding/knowledge (I'll admit it) to work with here. Thanks
