Hi everyone... please read this... this paranoia thing is new for me and my family and just discovered that it's just like diabetes... for all of you guy's out there that have been there and done that in order to find the right medication... what are the normal experiences having going through this... does pretty much every medicine have an abrupt exposure to side effects that will be accomadated in the near future? Thank you so much for those of you who read this.

PS: I took abilify for one year and it made me to slow... having to take a side medication so that I didn't get locked up... now I'm currently on Geodon... any good things about it? I am experiencing some scary side effects during the day when I get very sleepy and then I have a frequent episode where I get dizzy, get extremely sensitive and irritated to light and whatever I see... feel weak, stiffness and one time my tongue got locked... i also cannot talk and have difficulty swallowing... this eventually goes away and then I'm fine through rest. Any recommendations when this happens for those of you on Geodon and have experienced this? Or if you know that this is just a phase and will go away. Thank you so much for your time guys... I do appreciate it.

If you're having side-effects from your medication then it's important to bring it up with your doctor. People can have completely different reactions to the same medication so it can require trial and error until something helpful is found.

thank you. any other replies are greatly appreciated as well... especially if any one of you guys have experienced side effects which went away eventually and are happy with what medication you have now... or if you guys took geodon and how long your side effects started to go away... big thing right now is getting tired and having to sleep during the day... thank you guys

I was prescribed Geodon once. For anxiety.
The first day I felt golden. I've never felt that way until I took Pregabalin.
Then I started having brain zaps and having something like hot flushes.
I wasn't depressed or scared though, it was only annoying.
I quit inmediatly and stopped taking antipsychotics.
The only solution I can see here is for you to talk with your doctor.
Good luck!

I transitioned from Seroquel to Geodon over a 3 week period in which I felt uneven and couldn't sleep much due to the decreasing dosage of Seroquel It was horrible. After the three weeks I was looking forward to losing the Seroquel weight and not sleeping 12 hours a day which is nice. However, I started having panic attacks at least once a day and anxiety attacks the rest of the time. If it weren't for constant family companionship I'm pretty sure I would have killed myself. All of that is slowly tapering off. I wasn't informed of the Seroquel withdraw...would have been helpful. Now that I'm through the woods I can start to recognize the side effects. The dizziness is random and intense. I'm nauseous all the time and have almost total loss in appetite, random periods of feeling flushed, vomited last night for no reason (probably unrelated), restless (might just be lingering from my escape from Seroquel) and vision problems (probably just old contacts).
I would love to hear of others experiences and insight on Geodon. I was on Seroquel for 3 years and don't know what im getting into other than smaller jeans ha ha ha

I had an ex-gf that started taking geodon.
It'd knock her flat during the day, gave her hot flashes at night, and made her moods erratic & extreme. I guess the only plus for us was that it made her horny constantly. 8)

Dude i dont know i ran the gambit of anti depression medications, the last being geodon, it fucked me up so bad for a week and i only took one dose i had to be take to the hospital by a friend, i remember taking it that morning before class and every thing started getting fuzzy near the end of class i tried walking and it was difficult like legs and body where not functioning how my brain was telling them to, by the time i made it up the stares and out side i could no longer stand up strait i was hunched and could barely walk and barely talk and i was so lucky i will bless my friend and fate to this day that he just happened to be walking by because he saved my ass, he asked if i was ok he tried to help me walk and i couldn't so he got his car and drove my ass to the hospital i don't remember the ride i just woke up in a gurney with an iv, and it was dark out side. After that i was like screw the Psychopharmacological(Im not saying its all bad some people absolutely need it) game.
