Is generic Adderall - Ampheta S/Combo, XR or IR? Does "S" stand for "slow Release"?

When sript say just Adderall (pu) is it for XR or IR? I don't know which ones I have.

You have the IR Adderall. It should specify if it is to be XR because there is not a generic XR version of Adderall.

The letter S stands for Salts. There are four different salts each equating to 25% of the pill. They are bounded to different sugars some of which have a very sweet taste. Essentially 75% of the pill is the d-stereoisomer, dextroamphetamine and 25% is Levoamphetamine, the levorotary stereoisomer of the amphetamine molecule.

I'm not familiar with the abbreviation (pu). Are you doing a BID dosing or opd?

Perhaps you thought that PO (by mouth) -- the O was a U?

What are BID and opd?

No, the script just says, Adderall and then mg, then lower case "pu", whatever that means. It does not specify IR or XR. I guess when it is not specified, it is IR?

It looks surely like a "u" but you could be right. How else do doctors recommend patients to take Adderall other than by mouth?

Thanks btw.

The oral cavity offers two ROA's: sublingual and actual oral dosing.

Not sure if it's relevant at all, but something to take into consideration (and to answer: "how else but 'by mouth'" as that's a bit ambiguous).

Yes, BID.

And ah, sublingual. That obviously didn't dawn on me.

BTW, IBIYMFOM.

[EDIT- BID = twice a day OPM = once a day TID = three times a day]
