Its not even pregnant women on methadone that pisses me off so much..It's people that continue to live the irresponsible life of a drug addict that fail to use birth control and keep having more kids! Keep receiving a monthly check of ever increasing value for every new kid they have, and receive full medical and dental benefits for them, their kids and their lazy ass "baby daddy" thats only the father of one of their four kids!

Meanwhile, other addicts that actually work and try to pay their own way can't get anything in the way of "assistance"...It really sends the message, "If you wanna be a lazy junkie and get paid for it, just keep having more babies!"

^Yeah well, with you, the reason is because you're 18 years old and you have to have failed previous attempts at treatment to go on methadone....
I did have a previous attempt but it was over a year ago and they wouldn't accept it

Yeah it's a sick and disgusting system.

Anyone ever get dope that smells a little like cocoa puffs? Just remembered this really strong batch I got awhile back. One of the few times that it had a very distinct smell I'll never forget

I was on a different site today that talks about price and stamps, the shit from NYC is 2-2.5x the price I pay in Hartford. Is it that much fatter than shit from where I go or is it that much better? What's the deal with it costing so much more

I went to the methadone clinic to see if I could get in and they said I have to had gone to a detox within the past year that's fucking bullshit,

Are you sure you didn't misunderstand what they were asking? Both Federal (§Sec. 8.12 Federal opioid treatment standards) and Massachusetts regulations require among other things that that "the client has a current physiologic dependence on opioids of at least a 12-month duration. If the exact term of physiologic dependence cannot be determined, the medical director, or designee, may admit the client to treatment if there is sufficient evidence to reasonably conclude that there was physiologic dependence one year prior to admission."

First things first ... were you attempting to be admitted for methadone detoxification (detox) or for methadone maintenance (long-term)? One other question, were you released from a penal institution within the last 6 months? (if yes, there are special considerations).

Quite frankly my friend, judging from what little I know about your history and your current pattern of drug use, a methadone program might very well save your life. I'm willing to do what I can to help you get the help that you desperately need.

Did you have any other family that got pissed at you when you sold your parents house? Like a sister or something?
I have only one brother. Upon the death of my father (mom died years before), my brother had his own family and owned a nice home in the suburbs, not too far from my parent's home. I was living in the East Village. Our parent's home (the house we grew up in), was not nearly as nice as the home where my brother and his family lived. Selling the family home was the most reasonable alternative. We split the proceeds 50/50 along with cash that they had saved. I was living hundreds of miles away from my brother. He had no clue how I was spending the money. BTW, this ties in nicely with the "don't shit where you eat" directive in the "how can I use successfully thread." My home town is where I "ate," I "shit" in New York City, if you catch my drift.

I 100 % new what they were asking because they straight up told me that I needed to bring in papers proving I had been to a detox within the last year, mine was 17 months ago. I was trying to get admitted into methadone maintenance cus after I left detox last year I tried to get clean, it didn't work out after a few months I relapsed and over dosed when I mixed benzos and dope . After that I got on subs and hated it then I relapsed again and here I am 8 months later after my second relapse. No I have not been to jail ever.

It just seems like a system carefully designed to generate even more resentment toward the addict community proper. If a small amount of addicts have to be pampered like this to make the status quo even more frustrated with them, then those in power are more than willing to do this.

I find that when I try and live responsibly and make an effort to get my life back on track, I'll be making slightly above minimum wage and barely getting by. But these people are buying iphones, eating out all of the time, and so on. Now I am all for people in need being helped and I'd never want to see anyone be homeless or hungry. But you just cannot have a successful economy when there's no incentive to work instead of milk the free benefits. And an unhealthy economy creates conditions that make people in the middle class feel helpless and depressed, which makes a lot of them turn to drugs to feel better. And there are so many people trying to beat the bad economy by profiting off of drugs (anything from political bribes to rehabs to prison labor to...) that no mid/long-term efforts to actually unwind the vicious cycles are made.

So ya, it's more like I have a resentment toward the government and how it takes advantage of addicts like this by creating a dependent class that ultimately just reinforces the societal idea that addicts are scum.

How far outside of the city did you live? I grew up about an hour north of the city.

Toma- Per Mass. State regulations 164.070 the program must provide written admissions eligibility criteria and procedures to prospective clients upon application for services. This is to determine if the level of care that the program offers is suitable to meet your needs.

Did you receive a copy of the program’s admissions eligibility criteria and procedures? If so, does it say that for the purpose of entry into their MAINTENANCE program, a prospective client must have attempted formal DETOXIFICATION services within the past year?

Mr. Scag- I grew up in Central New York, a couple hundred miles from the Big Apple.

I tried the whole sub thing and it just doesn't work for me I hate the wa y I feel on subs. I went to the methadone clinic to see if I could get in and they said I have to had gone to a detox within the past year that's fucking bullshit, I wanna try and get clean but I don't wanna have to tell my family I'm doing dope again so I can go to detox. Looks like I'll stick to dope

Wow, that's f****d up, you can't get 'done without having done a detox previously. WHY?

I'm in the UK and tens, twentys etc of gear always come in a rizla(cigarette paper) wrapped in cling film. Easy to swallow or hold in mouth if shit happens. But your USA 'stamp' bags don't look like something you can swallow especially these brick/ bundle deals . Can they be swallowed?

Oh yeah, cocoa puffs dope!

But seriously, sounds like it was cut with powdered chocolate milk mix....Unfortunately, I have seen that....

If I remember correctly, addicts are 6 to 8 times more likely to die when using as compared to being on maintenance. It was a Swedish or Danish study. Used quite often as justification for mmt clinics.
