I was just wondering if I ordered gel capsules for putting liquid inside do I need to purchase the sealing machine to go with it or can it be done as easily by hand. The content of the substance is an irritant, but I don't mind wearing gloves to do so.

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks

Gel caps arent usually filled they are formed around the contents (usally the gel and the contents are first heated and then when cooling the shell (gel cap) forms. I dont think this is something you could do at home.

If the contents is an irratant the chances are it would melt the capsule :0

Powder caps are available and you can fill them with your suppliments quite easily by hand or you can buy the machines to do it (fairly cheaply)

Do you mean the springy/rubbery type gelcaps or just your standard capsule style gelcap? Its a pain to do the powder ones by hand- I'd buy the machine, they're usually pretty cheap.

Thanks

Thanks for feedback - SWIM decided to try without capsules (a link to a site useful for the sapsules had been recommended on this site) however SWIM is now wishing they hadn't even tried full stop as SWIM has fallen into the overdoing it trap.

You can get gelcap jigs that allow you to fill 50 of them quickly and easily (including a packer). With a good scale, you can determine how much of your material on average is packed into there by volume. It's not super accurate, but it works in a pinch. I used such a thing to pack caps with bulk ALCAR years ago.

BTW, SWIM is a lame ass motherfucker who needs to be shot in the kneecaps if he can't be bothered to ask his own questions. LE is going to assume that you're asking for your own information, regardless of whether or not you use a silly acronym.

I use a cap filling machine for my piracetam. It was cheap (less than $20) and it works great. I'd definitely recommend one, I can fill 24 caps in the time it would take to fill 3-4 by hand.
